Soft earphones compitable with an Ipod shuffle

Zo, 27 May, 2009 at 14:00 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 10

Can anyone recommend any cheapish soft earphones? Im finding the ones that came with my Ipod really hurt my ears. I have found a few different types but was just wondering if anyone has any recs or any idea which to stay away from? Thanks

Any earphones should be compatible I would have thought? Anyway, I hate the ones that come with the iPod as I have small ears and they hurt me. I always get Sennheiser headphones - my current ones are the CX300 mark 2 and they're great. I got them from www.play.com who don't charge any postage.

Not really cheap, but I've got Sennheisers like Mrs Winkle and they are just brilliant. The sound quality is so much better than any earphones I've used before, and the small cushions are actually small! Highly, highly recommend them ?

I've got Sennheiser and they are great.

i did have a pair of Sony's but the rubber started coming off the wire after about 6 months and the sound wasn't as good.

I think I've got the same Sennheiser's as Wonks, or very similar ones indeed, and they are fab.

I have some Sony EX in the ear ones, they are really comfortable, they have three different sized ear bits so you can get the best fit too. They are about £18 so not cheap but they are really good. They stay in when I in bed and at the gym which the others didn't!

The new iPod shuffle has all the controls on the earphone wire. It comes with the standard earphones though which I can't use either as they hurt.

The cost of the soft earphones with the control on the wire (last I looked only Apple make these) is the same as the cost of the Shuffle in the first place. Until someone else manufactures these at a lower price I'll stick to my old soft earphones and not be able to control the volume or skip anything, more out of principal than anything. That said, I might just cave and buy them because it's starting to irritate me, I like my music loud(ish) when I'm in the gym.

Ive bought some of these this morning, they really are comfortable and ( unlike the apple ones) I can lie down with them in. And they dont fall out ( so far).

I did an hour and a half at the gym with them in earlier and they didn't come out once. I am a bit in love with them, although I am also easily pleased!
