Some flashes and a question! x

futuremrsscott, 2 July, 2013 at 22:21 Posted on Planning 0 20

A few flashes of my wedding day outfit and opinions required on a bracelet! x

My hair piece (I've lost 20lbs between this piccy and the one above which I think you can see in my chin!)

Shoes!

Hair (it has dropped out a bit in this pic but should be a little more curly on the day!)

Earrings

So the question is do you think this bracelet will go with it all?! xx

It is gorgeous, I love it and think it will look good

However, is your dress chiffon? Is there any bit of the bracelet that could snag the dress?

Personally I'd probably go for something thinner and more delicate. It is a lovely bracelet though!

Gorgeous dress and gorgeous accessories - I think the bracelet goes well - whether it will snag the dress is a good point though...

Ooh that is a very good point it probably would snag and I'd end up taking it off! Thank you!

Jeez! You look amazing!!! Very jealous..

I think it goes but i can see the point being made of it getting caught in your dress.

All looks gorgeous! I would say the bracelet is fine as it seems to go with the earrings and tiara.

Your dress looks pretty similar to mine except mine has straps, is it Benjamin Roberts?

Love the flashes - the dress is just gorgeous. I do like the bracelet but would personally opt for something simpler and skinner on the wrist so it doesn't snag or take away from the overall impact of the dress. How about this one - would match the earrings:

Just got home from a hugely long shift (started at eight yesterday morning) and saw all your lovely messages, thankyou! I think I'm probably a bit tired but I was really touched to read them all Smiley smile I think you're all right about the snagging which is a shame as its so pretty! I will look for something simpler Smiley smile xxx

Yep it's benjamin roberts 2058a I think, on the hanger it looks boring but whenever I put it on it feels perfect! Did yours come with the straps or were they added specially? All his dresses are beautiful Smiley smile xx

Totally unrelated to the bracelet question but I think that has already been answered.

You look absolutely stunning! I wouldn't have said you have the weight to lose in the first place but you look amazing for it. How did you do it and how long did it take you if you don't mind me asking? I need to lose the same before I have my dress measurements taken before xmas and I need inspiration!

You look just stunning! And I love the shoes too Smiley smile I think you made a good decision opting for a more delicate bracelet.. I do like the original one too though! Have you tried it on with the dress?

Not yet as the dress is away with the tailor, haven't bought a bracelet yet but think it will help when I can see my dress in person again! xx

It sounds silly but it wasn't actually that hard, I have a really bad diet because of the unpredictable shifts I do so I end up eating a lot of takeaways... plus I love food and have always eaten whatever I wanted until the wedding planning began! I used a free app on my phone called my fitness pal which tells you how many calories you should eat a day to cause a calorie deficit and therefore help you lose weight, you put all your food into it and track how many calories you have, i hadn't realised how much food I was eating so this helped me cut down a lot! Most foods are already in there so it's not as much of a pain as it sounds!

I've been doing it since September and probably stick to it on average three to four days a week as I still eat badly a lot of the time but I think more disciplined people would have had a faster effect, although actually despite more poor effort I think I'd lost most of the 20lbs by January. As well as the calorie counting I started doing more exercise which again I'm quite sporadic with! I think i did runs a few days a week but there were times where i did nothing! But i found a little run here and there makes a massive difference!

In the last few weeks I've started to do a DVD called Jillian Michaels 30 day shred just to get rid of the last bit around my stomach (the food baby) which is twenty mins exercise a day and I can't believe how toned I am from doing it! I haven't lost any more weight on the scales but I can see that I have definitely lost more weight (I think I've gained muscle which is why I haven't lost physical weight).

Sorry for rambling but I really hope it helps to inspire you! the key thing i was trying to get across is that you don't have to have a miserable hungry year ahead of you! this is the first time in my life I've successfully 'dieted' (healthier eating is probably the more appropriate term) and I have been so surprised that I have actually managed to achieve it, after all those years who knew you just had to stop eating like a hippo and do a bit of exercise!! Why did no one say before!! Smiley winking xxx

Thanks so much for the thorough reply!

Right, you have inspired me. I've used my fitness pal before and the 30 day shred so I'm back on it!!

I'm just coming to the end of a holiday in France (cheese and wine galore) so the count down to the dress begins! OH goes out running and I refuse to because I hate it so much but just need to bite the bullet and get the trainers on.

I really don't want to regret not working harder on the day.

    Thanks
