teeheeyoucrazyguys!

Some one phoned me....

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 10 October, 2010 at 16:32 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 17

Last night, came home to a missed call on my mobile. Didnt recognise the number.

Hubby doesnt understand why I dont ansa calls which I dont recognise, but I just have a fear of answering to find the person on the other end is someone from my past or someone whom I dont wish to talk to.

No voicemail left so it couldnt have been important. No follow up text message so it must have been a wrong number.

I hope.

How many of you call back numbers on your fone?? Do you ignore them?

Thank god I'm not a running a business with my phone number, Id freak everytime the phone rang! lol

Ignore it with the theory if its important they'll ring back or leave a message.

I'll answer the phone to anyone!

If I miss a call though I'll Google it. Whocallsme is a good website for that.

If it's a business one it will. Some people obviously advertise with a mobile which will be picked up.

I'm a won't-answer-weirdo too lol! It does H2Bs head in cos he always has to answer the house phone; if the caller display doesn't say a name, then I don't know!

Same with someone knocking on the door, my heart starts pounding if I'm not expecting someone, I freak out and wont go to the door. I think this is something to do with a load of problems I had last year in my old house when my windows were bricked.

I dont ansa the door either which comes from my formative years as a latch-key kid... and mums voice always booming 'Dont open the door to ANYONE' so i never did and even now I have spent time hiding under window sills and back of sofas. Its a tad harder to do here as we are pretty exposed with a load of windows.....lolol...

I am terrible with answering the door, taking calls at home, and answering my mobile.

If my mobile or house phone rings and it does not flash up with the name of the person calling - I don't answer!!

If there is a knock at the door.... I don't answer that either....

Have always been like it.... although outwardly seem a confident person.... still this is me lol ?

I used to ring back missed called but more often than not it was mobile phone sales men. So now unless it's obviously a land line in which case probably a customer I don't bother. Blocked calls or private numbers depending on network are either telesales or people ringing from work usually.

I dont answer or ring back. Have now removed my answer machine as well. About 4 years ago, when I could not see who was phoning due to my hands free kit in my car I answered a few calls.

Basically it ended up in me ringing the Telephone complaints and the police. It was someone continusely asking me if I was ie Mr John Smith. Nope I am not, do you know him Nope. Did you buy your phone of him and number Nope. I have had this number since my pay and go days with Vodaphone and brought it to a contract with O2. Please do not call me again. This went on for some time, with me saying the same thing again, again. They did not believe me and kept saying I knew him. I knew there number in the end and lost my temper with them and rang the police, once I theartened them with the police and took there information it stopped.

I have now since changed my number, I never answer it. Always give out H's number for anything in particular as he can answer his phone as it is his works phone. The only ones if I google the number now is O2

Lol! Me too it seems!!! People think i'm weird especially when they are sat there and my phone is ringing and I don't answer it - they make me feel like I'm dodging someone!! It's the same with the door - I work from home so I don't answer the door at all - If it's someone who knows me, they'd have arranged with me to come round first! My H2B is exactly the same - we drive people mad - but just because I have a mobile / am at home doesn't mean you have access to me as and when you wish!!!

    I never ring back.

I think that if somebody important has called then they will ring back.
