Something blue?

katie80uk, 11 June, 2014 at 11:33 Posted on Planning 0 4

Trying to keep a bit of wedding traditional with the something old, new, borrowed and blue

Got my new...dress and everything i have on really. My old is some lovely pearl earrings that were my nanas, and my borrowed is either going to be a veil or tiara from my friend. But stuck on the something blue? What do people usually do for that?

I'm having a blue brooch that belonged to my gran who passed away last year. I'm going to pin it to my bouquet and it'll be my something old and blue. A lot of brides have something blue pinned inside their dress, or a lot of jewellery can be made to have a blue bead on it.

Blue- I'm making a brooch bouquet (ought to really get on with that), and on the side I will have closest to me I will be having personalised bits and pieces-mine and OH's initials, brooches to represent my parents, and mine and OH's passions. Anyway we got engaged in NYC so I wanted to represent that so have gone for a blue apple (2 birds 1 stone).

New- Is my knickers, everything else will have been tried on before the day but I am having brand new knickers; I bought 2 pairs so I can wear one pair for dress fittings and to ensure comfort.

Borrowed- My gran has some white and black diamond earrings that I plan to wear

Old- I havent got a clue, how old is old?

Not sure if this is really any help and feel I may have crashed your post- sorry!

How about blue toe nails? Or a blue bow on your underwear?

    Hi,

Recently I made a Swarovski crystal tiara and matching Swarovski hair pins for a client. She asked if I would make one Swarovski blue hair pin to wear as her something blue. I have put together 'A little gift of something blue' - a gift set of sterling silver Swarovski blue earrings and matching hair pin. These are gift boxed with a message card. Available in my etsy shops:

    Regards,

    Rebecca
