Fwiw, it looks very much like what my cat left on my son's bedroom floor this morning?

How long after shutting the door after the shopping was delivered did you find the poo?

Could the cat* have got out of the house since the poo discovery? Maybve when you were waiting in the car for the pest man or whilst you were photographing the deposit for hitched analysis?

it does look like cat poo though. bless you. i would not be too happy to be cleaning poo off my carpet especially when you have no pets.

We got our cats from a rescue home and they would only come out at night for the first few weeks. you could be in for a long wait Spring.

I only noticed the poo this morning (because it's in a room we don't use and i was looking for something) but i actually smelt it before seeing it.

I never leave doors open in my house so even when i came in to take a pic i still closed the front door behind me.

We had footsteps across the landing and down the stairs about 4 years back, when I had bad morning sickness and was in alone. I must've looked a right sight stumbling round, green at the gills, without my glasses, trying to spot the mystery creature. Turned out to be a squirrel who must have been in the house at least a couple of days without us noticing. There was poo behind the furniture. Didn't look like yours though!

I then tried desperaely to shoo it out of the house - finally succeeded.

It's been perplexing me all day! ?

I even told my OH about it as it brightened up my day ?.

Guess what my H found behind the piano?? A big white cat. Poor thing was a bit scared but let me pick him up and take him next door (where i recognised him from). Pity thet weren't in earlier!!!

Glad you found your mystery guest and that it turned out to be nothing more sinister than next door's moggy! I'm sure your neighbours were glad to have their cat back and the cat was very happy to be home ?
