Something old = Great grandmother's engagement ring (~100 years old)

Something new = dress, shoes, tiara...

Something borrowed = Mum's pearl earrings

Something blue = Great grandmother's engagement ring (has sapphires in it) or I may get a blue jewelled belly-button bar instead/as well

Silver sixpence - wasn't planning to, but may ask ILs if they have one, it's likely. If so then I might!

A garter with a little pocket on the front to hold the sixpence is quite popular. Sounds more comfortable than putting it in your shoe!

Something old: My great aunt's pearl necklace

    Something new: my dress

Something borrowed: The necklace which I'm borrowing from my mum

Something blue: A ring my parents gave me for my 18th which has blue sapphires in it.

Silver sixpence in my shoe - probably not.

Oh so can your something old be the same as your something blue/borrowed? I thought (and cos I like to make my life trickier!) they had to be different things! Phew!!

Something Old - don't know yet

Something New - everything I'm wearing!

Something borrowed - don't know yet!

Something blue - the dressmaker always sews a little blue bow into the inside of the dresses she makes - how lovely!! But I've also got a ring with diamonds and sapphires that I'll be wearing.

Sixpence - never heard of this .. could that be the reason my first marriage failed?! lol Does it have to be there all day? Couldn't imagine anything more uncomfortable!!

So, I'm not very organised. I might see if I can borrow a necklace or something. I am now concerned that I'm not inspired on this at all!!

Two of my very good girlfriends have worn sixpences in thier shoe on thier wedding day. The coins are so tiny all they do is indent your foot a bit but neither bride felt it all day.

It's supposed to bring wealth so I'll definitely be doing it!

Hmmm, something old - my H2B??? lolololol oh I dont know...

something new - could be my dress..

    something borrowed - dunno

something blue - my thoughts??? hehehehe well blues are my colour scheme so prolly have blue somwhere.

silver sixpence? I'm throwing them away at the wedding so will have plenty on me! TIP: If you're wearing them in your shoe, peel back the sole at the heel, obviously on the INSIDE!, slip the coin under that and then glue or place the sole back down again.

    Something new: dress etc

    Something borrowed: mum's gold watch

Something blue: blue ribbon tied to the ankle strap of my shoe

silver sixpence in your shoe: tied to shoe with blue ribbon above, dad drilled a tiny hole, added a silver loop and I threaded it onto the ribbon,
