I've not done mine in full yet but we are having sections to it .

low key stuff for people arriving 7-8 eg Paulo Natini, Mark Ronson etc

stuff to get people dancing 8-9 eg beyonce, kylie, girls aloud etc

    buffet + 1st dance

    9:30-10:30 - cheesy 80's pop !

    10:30-11:30 - rock/indie 80's and modern

    11:30 - 12 - last slow dances -

we are having a kiddies disco 6:30pm-8:30pm then a 70's soul band 9pm-till late

Inbetween band sets we are having a dj who is playing up to date, modern music. There are so many songs that i do like, I think i would find it easier to list what i don't want.

...and 'come on eileen' and 'jive bunny' should be banned!

I'd be tempted to have a look at some of the 'Now' albums for ideas of popular music...I've noted these so far:

Kiss, Kiss - Holly Valance / Brown Eyed Girl / Hips Don't lie(?) - Shakira / Mamma Mia / We are family / crazy in love
