Sorry stuff just went a bit crazy! I've mainly been ill since so it's not been fun! Anyway... The day was AMAZING!!

    The wedding

The day before we drove everything we needed up to Scotland and had an amazingly chilled night before the wedding in our cottage with my Bridesmaid and her fella (who were in the cottage next door) we ate fish and chips, cake, watched DVD's and played "who's in the bag" except we had no bag so it was who's in the pyrex bowl, at about midnight I said we should probably go to bed so they went to their cottage and we all went to bed.

The next morning the sun was out! Mr B and I went to drop things off at the reception venue and get last bits sorted before going back and me and BM going to have our hair done, I was apparently the most relaxed bride ever, which was great. We then all went back to the cottage and had pie and chips for lunch, it was great. The wedding wasn't until 4:30 so we had time to chill. At 3 we all went to get ready, I say all, everyone but me I had to wait until Mr B went to get my dress on although to be fair I did have full hair and make up, plus my underskirt and a hoody on when he left. Finally I could get the dress on and then it became real, I wasn't nervous until 4 when I was waiting for the taxi to arrive. I almost forgot my bouquet but luckily super bridesmaid remembered.

The ceremony went without a hitch, my mum was a pain in the arse but I expected that so it wasn't too bad.

The reception was amazing! They'd made the place look lovely and the food was fantastic.

Congrats! I've been waiting for your report for ages after you were so kind to send me your invites for inspiration. What happened to the beautiful centrepieces you made? Were they used at the blessing?

The Laura Ashley thing is unfortunate, we usually have to write Ashley and Laura to avoid it, however we did get a present from my bridesmaid in a Laura Ashley bag where she'd put a heart between the names, we currently have all our wedding cards in there.

    Right the blessing...

Well we really couldn't be bothered with the blessing in all honesty, the wedding had gone so well we just really wanted to sleep and relax at home but it was not to be. The blessing really was a comedy of errors. it took ages for the hairdresser to do my hair so I didn't have much time when I got back, it was also raining.

Mr B stressed out about having to fasten me in the dress but he did do. The taxi we'd booked turned up late and I forgot my bouquet, but luckily I managed to pinch my bridesmaids one.

The ceremony was beautiful, really personal and the readings were great, it was lovely. The reception was a bit meh, as it was really what the in laws had wanted so not what we wanted at all and we didn't get to talk to anyone properly so it was a bit crappy. Luckily it was over by 6:30 so we could go home. Our best man was trying to convince me to go to the pub in my wedding dress which I didn't do but now wish I had. I did go to the pub in a dress just not the dress.
