It definitely doesn't seem to be getting any better - one of the reasons why I don't come on much nowadays. Not that I don't want to but use can't get on - keep getting permanent 'page not found'

I've emailed Hitched about it. I pay bloody £500 to advertise through them and can't even post on a thread to reply to a bride and tbh I won't be continuing to pay that amount if they don't sort it out, despite the fact I'm in a contract with them. It's unfair to advertisers. I know the forum doesn't bring them in any money which is fair enough but the HIBs do.

Completely agree Lynsey. Absolutely ridiculous that they are clearly not investing time and/or money to sort it out while they're accepting advertising payments.

The forum does, indirectly, bring them income. If there weren't so many users on the forums, there wouldn't be any suppliers wanting to advertise to them.

Sadly they disagree with that, I've had long discussions with them about it when they increased the advertising prices just for jewellery/tiara advertisers. I personally think that without the forum a lot of people wouldn't come on the site at all so they wouldn't look around the rest of the site although they do know a lot of people use only the forum and they aren't interested in the rest of their site but then that's for them to make their website work better for them. I used to post on here several times a day whereas now I can't even be bothered to look because it will either give me a 404 error, take ages to load a photograph, or worst case I type a long reply and then get the 404 error. Considering they are claim to be the number 1 wedding website I'd dread to use another website and see how crap that was. I've spent about an hour now trying to post photographs on a thread for jewellery and it looks extremely bad on my side when half a post shows up as it looks like I can't be bothered to answer 100%.

    Rant over!

The forum helps the site hits which in itself raises the web ranking of hitched ....so having it working should be paramount.

I think without the suppliers it would be just like 'you and your wedding' forum which is a ghost town compared.

On several occasions I spent a considerable amount of time answering a forum post, some 10-15 minutes wording it to advise the poster on something only to hit submit and it instantly crapped out on me losing all that I had typed. So I didn't bother to try and post again.

The most annoying thing about the 404 error - that picture of a woman pulling her hair out. really takes the p!

I agree, is it supposed to be funny?

I wouldn't use this site at all if it wasn't for the forum. I always prefer recommendations over a randomly googled supplier and feel the forum gives many of the HIBs credibility when other users post good reviews of them.
