Sorted!

Hi,

Right h2b and I can't decide which flight to book from Heathrow to Glasgow on the last leg of our honeymoon to get home.

We should arrive in Heathrow from Dubai at 6.30am then need to get to Glasgow so can choose either a 10am flight or 12.15pm.

Which one? We are worried we go for 10am and have a few hours delay in Dubai but then if we are on time we have 6 hours to wait in an airport and after being awake all night travelling this isn't ideal but then neither is missing the flight and having to pay hundreds of pounds for another (we can't get a refund or change flights at all).

Please vote for 10am or 12.15pm? We need to get flights book now.

xx

10am flight, leaves you 3 1/2 hours. I've always been told to leave at least 2 1/2 hours for a stopover, you should be fine. If it's delayed, they might try to get you on the 12.15 flight if it's with the same airline

Because I am a complete worry wort when it comes to times of planes etc and generally always arrive at the airport at least three- four hours before the flight I would opt for the later one. Simply because you don't have to worry if you are a little late...

You can always find a seat in an eatery/bar and have a boozy brunch... and while away the hours snogging your new husband ;0)

10am. It would still allow you to be a couple of hours late

Thanks, I'm thinking the same with times. The flights are all booked separately so if we don't get the 10am one they won't put us on 12.15pm as the details on the small print say the flights aren't flexible.

Once you land at Heathrow, add in the time that it will take for you to go thru passport control, and then get your luggage. Depending on how busy it is, that could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. So figure that if you land on time, you may still have time to grab a quick breakfast before boarding for the morning flight home from Heathrow. If you miss that one due to your flight being delayed, they will get you on the next. So I vote for the morning flight. I would hate having to sit around for hours too.

edit,, oops, posted about the same time as you, it sucks that they won't take into consideration if your flight is delayed beyond your control. That just isn't right Smiley sad

We have done the Dubai to Heathrow flight, and it's not that bad really, but I would still hate to sit at Heathrow for 5+hours.

    Have fun Smiley smile

10am, after all that flying the last thing you'll want is more waiting around. If it's delayed by more than 2 hours then you'll just have to change on to the 12.15 flight. More chance of it not beling delayed than being delayed though.

    10am it is!!

I know Teri is it unfair but they have a flexible ticket which is double the price so I guess they hope people pay for that one.

    Thanks everyone. x
