spa

LizzieBennet, 14 November, 2015 at 07:14 Posted on Planning 0 14

Hi,

For my hen night I'd like to do a short spa break if possible. There wouldn't be many of us, maybe between five and ten.

Can anyone recommend anything? I live close to London so shouldn't be too far, although London directly is probably way too expensive.

I don't want a big party, nice pampering experience and a night in with maybe a movie? Just wondering whether anyone knows a good place. Prices seem to vary wildly online and there is so much choice!

When you say you live near to London which side. Where abouts. Might make a difference to suggestions if you're hoping not to go to London itself Smiley smile

Have you tried groupon for spa deals?

Sorry, we are in Surrey. I don't mind which side though as friends would come from different directions. Not looked on Groupon yet, thanks.

Last minute dot com do spa breaks. Maybe look at hotels with a spa in your area too.

I don't know how much they cost but CenterParcs have wonderful spas and offer spa breaks, plus you have the benefit of being able to use the other facilities on site. They have sites not too far from London.

We went to CenterParcs Sherwood Forest for my hen do and had such an amazing time.

The CenterParcs spas are called Aqua asana and you book via them for spa breaks not via CenterParcs.

I'm going on a friends hen do to Seckford hall in Suffolk. Just under £100 for two days in the spa, a nights accommodation, dinner and breakfast. X

    Thanks for the advice everyone!

Had a look yesterday and some places are just too expensive. I just can't really ask people to spend 200 on my do Smiley sad

Lexi, do you know which deal you guys booked? I had a look online but can't find a great price like that at all.

The Georgian house hotel comes up on google for hotels with spa Surrey. They seem to do a one night spa break for around 100.00 and a spa day (no overnight) for **** depending on day of the week if that's any good to you.

My mil had the same problem when organising her sisters hen.

She ended up booking her lady who did her normal treatments & she came to house and set up a room in my mil spare room.

Mil laid on a buffet & games & everyone loved it.

The lady charged £30 per head for two treatments x

I think she phoned up a load of places and got quotes. She's collecting deposits now and then will book it. There's about 24 of us going so getting a bit of a group discount I think but there's no harm in phoning places and asking!

    Hey,

Secret Escapes had a good deal a few weeks back for Alexander House in East Grinstead. I also went to a spa overnight-er to Lingfield Marriott and that was really good.

Might be worth having a look.

Or try calling a few places - a lot of them will probably do a bespoke package if there are 5-10 people

You could try the Felbridge Hotel, I went to a hen do there a few years ago where we had treatments, dinner and overnight stay. Nutfield Priory has a lovely spa, went there a few years ago for a spa day, I'm sure they would have packages available. Cannot comment on Alexander House as never been, but I've heard good things (and want to go!).

Some beauty salons/hair salons will also look at having parties on their premises for hen dos/bridal prep as well - worth a look around any local ones?
