Spangles!!

Houdini, 5 July, 2010 at 15:44 Posted on Planning 0 18

Rather than derailing the other thread!!!
Jeebus! I can't believe it's only a month!! Ours is 2 months on Saturday. Flown by so quickly huh??

Do you have another hen do coming up or is two your lot?!!

I'm OK thanks flower - going to look at wedding rings tomorrow after work.. Got my hen do in a few weeks... also doing a ten mile walk soon for a local hospice... Aaaand get to try my dress on for the first time at the end of the month.

Oh and had my make-up trial yesterday. Will try and upload pics once I can get hold of my Mum's camera with the pics on. x
I know, where did the time go?! Have you got much left to do?

Make sure you do post the pictures, you know how nosey we all are on here!

What are you up to for your hen night? Two's my lot - though I would quite happily have another 10! I've loved every single minute of my hen celebrations so I hope you enjoy yours just as much!

Good luck with your 10 mile walk. I managed 9 out of 13 miles last year before my back gave up completely on me and I had to retire (I have scoliosis and standing for long periods of time is very wearing).

Hello lovely - just saw this! Had to take my little Mini to the garage. Hen night (that I have organised) going down to London to have lunch, then see Avenue Q, then dinner and drinks and stay in a hotel (which I'm yet to organise!)

Will definitely sort out my make-up trial pics soon - although I will have to try and photoshop the pics first or put a PG warning on the thread title! 13 miles - did you do the Moonwalk? I did that a coupla years ago. Bloody hard especially since I did no training at the time!

Just got rings to do tomorrow night, dress fitting, final venue meeting, hair trial and a few other bits! Oh and can't wait to see my shoes, veil and necklace for the first time!

Are you feeling calm about the big day? x

It was a Moonlight Colourthon we did! a 13 mile walk along Southend seafront! They've just done this years at the weekend but as OH is on his stag do I didn't want to do it on my own.

? at the PG warning on the photos. If I put my first trial pics on they'd need an 18 - I looked like a trannie!

You sound like you have everything under control though. I just had a friend round and she helped me tie bows on the favour boxes so that's a big chunk out of my list! I think it's just general organisation now more than things to do. OH needs shoes and pants ?.

I had my boudiour shoot yesterday - will flash some pictures when I get some!!

Your hen night sounds fantastic. I did the vast majority of my hen weekend arranging too but luckily some of my girls (mainly the lovely Ooh La La!) arranged some surprises too!

I bet you didn't look like a trannie! Although I remember one episode of Don't Tell the Bride and the make-up artist was atrocious. She made the bride look like an oompa loompa. Talking of bows - I need to buy loads of black ribbon to tie around my napkins.. keep remembering little things I need to do and it's all mounting up!

Oooh boudoir shoot? did you win that in the raffle?

I don't think I'm going to get any surprises from the girls - my BMs are all far too busy!! So far they have tried on their dresses and that is it! I can't wait to see your wedding piccies missy - is OLL going too?

    Trust me, I did! ?

Yes, boudiour shoot was a raffle prize from Peter. He sent me a couple over last night but not sure I want to flash them just yet! I might wait until OH has seen them and then flash some.

You just never know what other people are planning. I started getting suspicious when all the girls started becoming friends on FB with each other even though they'd never met! It's a nervy time! And yes, Oohie is coming to the wedding too, every Hitched wedding needs a fellow Hitcher!

OH is back from his stag do tonight, so can't wait to see him!! Then tomorrow I have my second dress fitting and venue meeting so a busy 48 hours ahead. But I think we're getting there, slowly! x

Darnit I have no hitchers coming to my wedding! Keep trying to meet up with Cotteesgirl for drinks but we've been rubbish at organising anything!

So excited for you! I reckon we should have a hitched meet up soon - prolly after all the wedding chaos has died down towards the end of the year. Will try and enlist CG and you can get on to Oohie! x

Probably best for after the wedding - with only 4 weekends to go, time is ebbing away!

London is probably most central point isn't it? Yep, just nosed at your facebook to find out where you are in the world as I think I remember CG being from my neck of the woods (Essex)? We'll have to see who else we can get along. Will give me something to arrange after the wedding!!

London isn't too far from me - about 40 mins by train. And will definitely be good to plan something after the wedding - what are we going to do with all this spare time??! x

I don't want to think about that - I may have to do some work!!!

London's only about 40 minutes for me too so it's starting to sound like a go-er. October / November time then?

Hahha will have to think of another way of introducing you both to Mummy Spangles and my mates...

Now, what could we say? Alcoholics Anonymous? Don't want to introduce you as internet weirdies ?

Nope, I'm just going to take a leaf out of the guest at my wedding who last night gave OH reasons as to why he should have a day invite over others (see my other thread!), and tell you that Mummy Spangles is not allowed to come - I'll be at the top table with you just because you're my friend on FB. So there.

    ?

(Loving the irony of my thread after faux inviting myself to your wedding ?)

I can picture it now and it would be hilarious!! Mummy S would be reet miffed but would be vay amoozing!!

Will have a look at your other thread in a second flower.

So have we decided what to tell people about how we all know eachother?! Shall we be part of a knitting circle then if AA is a bit too serious?! x

AA's probably a little too near the knuckle and means I can't get smashed at your wedding and try and kiss your bridesmaids though... ?

    ?

I think we met through belly dancing lessons. Means I can show my skills off in the evening!

    ?

Can picture the steam coming out of Mummy Spangle's ears already!

They wouldn't believe belly dancing as mine is constantly hidden in a girdle, Spanx and an all over bodysuit.

Not sure one of my BMs will put out if you go for the snog. She's vay religious. Although the other two will be game. Shall point 'em out!

Hmm, then I'll be your pimp which is why I need to oust Ma S from the top table cos I'll be collecting my money from all the kisses people try and bestow upon you. £5 a go. We'll make a fortune and I'll split it with you if you're lucky?

Or, judging by the last few posts, I met you at a creative writing class!

I think I'd have to pay people to kiss me not t'other way around!! Oooh I like the sound of creative writing class.. Much more believable than us meeting at AA or in prison.

Although I rather fancy introducing you and Oohster to Ma S as "ma bitches" - get me I'm being all street!

But what if people ask you to compose something off the top of your head?!

Right lovely, gotta shoot now so don't think me rude. Busy evening (and picking OH up from his stag do) so won't be back on here until tomorrow!

    Have a good evening!! x
