Has anyone ever bought their specs on the web as opposed to an opticions??

I realy fancy a vintage looking pair, with the pointy frames aka 50s/60s.... but the lenses would need to be prescription.

any recommendations of spec sites?

kinda like those....

Lol thanks cola... my mum used to have a black pair in the 60s, I saw a 50s chick in Morrisons the other month and really wish I had stopped her and asked her where she got them from!

I'm finding a few places but they come with a hefty price tag.

Hiya, u could buy just the frames online, take them to specsavers and they will re-glaze them for you with ur prescription, done mine a long time ago now (5/6yrs) and they were £39

Very rarely they will refuse if they think the frames quality isnt good enuff or if u have a strong prescription with very thick lenses and they think the frame wont hold the weight etc etc, try n find one with a lab on the premises, tht way then they can tell u there n then if they do it.x
