Speechless

Puddled, 16 April, 2008 at 15:15 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

A 'friend' of mine has left me utterly gobsmacked with the following

'I am not a fan of Scottish people'

'crazy talking bunch'

And when I told her that was Racist and how can she be not a fan of a whole country of people she said...

Well anyway, I saw on tv they are all ginger - just that some dye their hair

I mean seriously, have you ever heard anything like it!

Does she hate them because they are all ginger or was that just an added "fact"?

No she hates them anyway - that was added to support her view I think.

Speaking as a dark haired, hazel eyed scot I have no idea what she is talking about. That reminds me, I must pop into superdrug on the way home to pick up some more L oreal dye ?

I'm ginger and Scottish, I have to meet your friend?

I once was asked by an otherwise sensible colleague if Aberdeen had electricity. And when I said yes, she asked if we had things like nightclubs.

I mean, this woman has toured some highly sensitive bit of Asia by herself and yet couldn't get her head around that Scotland could have a city or two.?

My H is Scottish - he's almost completely bald but before he lost his hair it was very dark!

    He is crazy though.

As a ginger Scot, I have to meet your friend ?.

A previous boss once walked into the room and declared very loudly that he hated all effin jocks. That was quite funny when he realised I was there.

I think they might have a point.

I've met far too many flag-waving, anti-English types from north of the border to retain an unbiased opinion.

Oh, but you'll happily take £6 billion a year of English money to fund your free university education and prescriptions ?

    Oh, aye.

    Ungrateful bastards.

If you were "sure" of me I'd consider myself a failure?
