Spring Cleaning!!

Moschops, 21 March, 2012 at 08:21 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I have taken 2 days off work to do my spring cleaning and am desperately trying to think of things to get out of it, even tho it's well over due.

What do you other lovely ladies( and gents) do? Do you have a mass clear out a cpl times of year or jst do a bit each week?

We do a bit each week and once in a blue moon have a good sort out. Which generally involves me sorting out my stuff as it ends up here there and everywhere!

We've just moved into a new place, so we're trying to keep on top of everything. We has a massive clear out when we moved, so i'm hopeful that we won't need to do another one for a while.

I do housework every day (I also lie about doing it every day) but will leave the Spring cleaning to the hubby as he has an OCD when it comes to cleaning.

I clean every Saturday and every once in a while (a few times a year) I pull out all the furniture, clean the skirting boards, windows etc etc.

We have a cleaner who comes once a week to do basic cleaning. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to sorting out, although every once in a while I'll have a real Monica moment and have a massive clear out of a certain room/cupboard. No method behind it though. I'm pretty ruthless when it comes to chucking things out, so there'll be a bin pile, a charity shop pile and a keep pile.

You've taken time off work to do cleaning - Are you nuts? Just how dirty is your house ?

I tidy up as I go along and do the elbow grease stuff every weekend.

Ooh I love a good spring clean!

I tidy a little each day so the place is presentable but like to do a good blitz every couple of months. I normally concentrate on a room at a time and throw out old stuff, move furniture, clean skirting boards, etc.

Yesterday I did our living room. I moved the sofa and coffee table and hoovered and mopped behind. I found some interesting things under the sofa! (10 hair bobbles, 3 cat toys, a letter for H from November! And lots of dust) I then washed all the sofa cushions and hoovered underneath. I also like to wash the curtains as this really freshens up the room (especially if line dried).

I love a good spring clean, get all the windows open and lots of fresh air!

I tend to do big sort outs when I am due on... must be some sort of nesting thing! Mr C hates it as I tend to move everything around and then he can't find anything!

Haha, my post does sound like I'm a right slob and my house is minging!! ? But it's not honestly, I have 3 kids, 2 dogs, a cat and a very untidy OH, so I clean every day and my washing machine is on overdrive.

What I meant was a real deep clean, like emptying and cleaning all the kitchen cupboads, washing down wardrobes, having a real good chuck out that sort of thing!

Going 2 hide now in the depths of my eldest daughters room and get ready for my rather large malibu and lemonade that is chilling in the fridge(clean 1) for me later ?
