I'm not bothering with one as I don't see the point in them - but it would help us suggest things if you could give us an idea of the number of people involved, how much you want to spend, how far you want to travel etc, and what sort of people are likely to be going.

Oh, and whereabouts roughly in the country you are might help too.

I can't the thought of a ritual stag party. All depends on your friend, would he like the traditional one or something a little different. I would just have a bunch of select friends, do something slightly different or something I wanted to do e.g a joint sky dive probably ends up cheaper than the usual Amsterdam trip, followed by some beers some where getting nicely sozzled....

For my b2b's sisters h2b's stag day earlier in the year, we ended up hovercraft racing round a field in Berkshire, followed by a nice meal in a pub. There were 8 of us.

I certainly wouldn't have gone if it was going to be a 'typical' stag event but it was very sensible and jolly good fun actually - but that's probably because of the people involved not being the 'typical' lets-go-out-and-get-ratarsed-at-the-drop-of-a-hat sort of people.

A nice party or a gallant dinner would do.
