So with lots of positive thoughts I will have a good day today.

I'll join you Mad. I've been stopping and starting for a while now and I really need to get back into as I'm so unhappy with the way I am.

So far I've had 2 slices of toast breakfast and I'll be having lentil soup, a yoghurt and some fruit for lunch and then wholemeal spaghetti for dinner.

good lucky ofeelia, sounds like you have a good day planned.

So far i've had a yoghurt and a can of spaghetti.

Tonight we're having a casserole which i'm really looking forward to.

are you doing any particular healthy eating plan? I'm going to be trying slimmingworld again. It means i don;t need to be hungry during the day. My downfall last time was that I had a bad weekend and didn;t put any weight on, so I carried on eating badly... there's just no logic to why i do it to myself.

I'm healthy eating and have started doing a 5k running plan. I have a 7 month old and found it hard getting motivated to plan meals and exercise so if I haven't managed lunch then I would just grab a twix or similar whislt out and about. I NEED to do it this time though (I've been faffing about since Christmas) as looking after a baby is hard enough without carrying an extra 3 stone around with me!

I;ve got a 6 month old, who has been crawling and pulling himself up on furniture for about 2 or 3 weeks now. It's a nightmare. I can;t go and prepare anything in the kitchen or he bumps himself. If I take him into the kitchen he tried to climb all the cupboards, me, the table.

My LO has just started crawling too - I can't turn my back for a second! We've just got her one of these which is really handy if you just want to nip to the kitchen for something, it means she can't go anywhere!

we just don;t have much room for one of those. I think we might have to do a bit of reorganizing and get one though.

Did you manage to have a healthy day yesterday? I'm quite pleased that i didn;t munch my way through the pack of digestive biscuits that are in the kitchen. Roll on another good day.

    Hello!

    May I join you?

E is 7 months old and she keeps me very busy too. I'm back to work as well AND I need to lose 3 st+. I joined WW 3 weeks ago. So it is hard to keep up at times.

Ahhh, digestive biscuits... They are my points wasters... I've just tried a WW smoothie as a snack to fill me up because I have pilates tonight and won't be having dinner until late. And that smoothie is very yummy! I'm even struggling to finish it!

It's hard to be on a diet while looking after a young baby, isn't it? It's not only me, is it?

    Have a great evening!

    RG

of course you can join us. I hope your pilates went well. I need to loose about a million stone... well ok thats an exageration but it may aswell be.

I was doing quite well today..untill I went out with my paretns to a local garden centre. I swear I had eaten the piece of cheesecake before i even remembered I was supposed to be watching what I eat. It was in place of lunch though does that make it any better?

we started weaning last weekend and I feed E his lunch and forget all about myself. I swear I am loosing my mind.

RG, how did you find it going back to work? are you fulltime?

Mad, I don't want to lie to you: I found it very difficult and I'm only back part-time (well, almost full-time: 9 to 3 everyday). It is just so much to take on, especially in the mornings. I manage to look after E well but I just forget to look after myself. I snapped a couple of weeks ago that morning, I just stopped right in the middle of my living room and started to cry for no reason. I just couldn't keep on going. My husband was very worried and didn't know what to do. But after I released enough pressure, the crying stopped. And I felt better.

Let's just say that it is the most difficult thing I had to do. It is difficult to leave E of course, but it is also extremely heavy to add work on the top of everything else, and still be (or try to be!) a sane woman.

I know what you mean about feeling like you are losing your mind. It happens to me all the time. I even become forgetful and do silly things. The other day, I was getting ready to go to bed and I realised my socks were not matching. Or another day, I told hubbie off for doing something, when I was the one who had done that thing all along.

So if you plan to go back to work, it is VERY important to plan some time for yourself. At last once a week!!! For your own sanity and for everybody's sake.

About the lunch at the garden centre, you need to treat yourself once in a while. Don't let this drag you down!! Just make up for it at supper with a light dinner or a salad!

Talking about lunch... Gotta go! :-))

RG thanks for that. I only have to go back for 3 weeks (full time though [:'(]) as i work in a school, so tis the summer holsa after that, then I;m being made redundant (great timing). My parents are going to have E,so i think i might suggest that they have him one day a week for the next 3 or 4 weeks beofre i go back.

I quite often forget about myself, since starting weaning I feed E his lunch and completely forget about doing myself some lunch! then I don;t realise till about 3 and by then I'm starving and just want to grab something quick. I didn;t eat particularly healthy meals this weekend, but on a positive note i didn't pick between meals, which I'm quite proud of. I will get rid of my tyre

    Yeah! That's the spirit!

I find it hard to get motivated with such a horrible weather... And my husband works in London so can never get home before 8pm most nights. It is hard to keep going after a long day (E still wakes up around 5am at 7 months) and once she's sleeping.

If only the weather was getting better... ?
