Walking is the best one to start off with...mainly because it's free, you can take your time and you get to go places too !

lol...don't stop off at Starbucks though and have a grande frappacino with cream and then a bun too !

Ideally, I think you should be walking at a pace that you can still talk at but enough to get you panting too.

I think, the daily amount is ususally receommended at 30-40 minutes. But, to break yourself in perhaps do 20 minutes first...but, if you feel comofrtable, then do more ! You can then gradually build up and look to buying those little wrist weights and get a bit aerobic with it too if you want . It's great if you can get together with a friend.

Don't do it on a full tummy though ! I think if you can mainatin a steady pace that gets you brething relatively heavy and gets that heart beating faster for 20 mins building up to 30-40 minutes a time, then you will be well on your way.

How often do you plan to do this ? every day, every other day ?...

I really wish you luck....YOU CAN DO IT !!

Awww, you're welcome sweetie, and I reckon you'll get loads of advice form others here too.

I think what you descibe is plenty to get you starting with. You may find that the first half stone comes off quite quickly and this is usally because you are just really emptying yourself ! .Are you going to be dieting also ?

In any case, just start off for what ever feels comfortable for you thn gradually build up the speed !...you may actually feel you want to jog for a while instead of a walk and this is great. This will speed up your metabolism and even when you're not exercising your body will natuarlly burn the food you eat quicker !!

I think you're starting off right and then you can do more as you lose the weight but also as you get fitter too !...you'll soon find that spring in your step too and all those clothes that you can't get into will be there waiting for you...YAYYYYYYYYYYYY !!

The most powerful tool you have to lose that weight is your own determination and focus. If you can maintain it then it WILLl come off..it will...and YOU WILL DO IT !!

    Hugs

I agree with George 12 that the Wii fit is good !

You need to concentrate on your goal. Focus on the target and keep telling yourself how much fitter you're going to be. How you'll be able to get into slimmer clothes. How you'll enjoy the compliments when people say to you " You've lost weight !!..you look amazing !! "

More so, imagine how easier it will be for you to actually move about. You WILL have a spring in your step, you'll be able to jog up the stairs and it will surprise you how easy it will be.

You'll look fantastic, feel fantastic and be fantastic !!....and you'll also reap the rewards form the health benefits too !!

    YAYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!
