Stationery

ShootingStar2012, 24 January, 2013 at 12:53 Posted on Planning 0 18

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone can recommend or suggest any companies that make wedding stationery? I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I think going down the DIY route could end in disaster! The few companies I've seen online seem to charge about £4 each though... there must be some out there that are a little more reasonable?!

Thanks ?

Well we ended up deciding the same for the same reason. We used a seller on ebay for chequbook style ones that came in at £1.80 each for day invites then 80p per evening only invite. They were gorgeous and so elegant, our family and friends loved them.

It was these, but with turquoise ribbon and gems to suit our colour, plus we ordered matching name place cards

Thanks everyone! Nat, I love your lace one... are the colours 'as is' or can they be changed? I'd not even considered eBay so will definitely have a browse on there. Sad, but this is one of the bits I'm most excited about, have always had a thing for stationery, hehe.

    Hi Shooting Star

As well as Ebay, have a look on Etsy, Folksy and www.notonthehighstreet.com there are some great options on all of these.

Invitations don't have to cost the earth, most stationers will offer a range of prices and will also be able to adapt their designs to suit your requirements. Colours can be changed and you can add your own personal touches too.

My invitations start from £2.50 and you can see some designs here www.millieandme.net also on Facebook as 'Millie and Me'

Have fun searching! There are a lot of very good designers around, and plenty are HIBS on here so you'll be sure to have some great recommendations!

    Hiya.

I can do any colour you want. Nothing is set in stone and if you have a budget, all of my designs can be adjusted to fit your budget. That's the great thing about laser cut stationery.

If you would like to email me for a chat then please do.

Oh wow, there's so much to choose from! There are definitely some more affordable people out there, which is a nice relief Smiley winking

Got to get my thinking cap on and sit down with the OH and work out what we like (haven't even chosen a theme yet so best get cracking on that first I think!)

    Thanks everyone ?

    Hi

I found a brilliant lady on Ebay. I had some Save the Date magnets off her & she sent me a sample invite which I loved. We've worked on the invite together to perfect it & she's been so helpful & I love the end result.

For 100 invites complete with RSVP's, a money poem & all guest names printed on the invites I am paying £190 which I think is brilliant. I'm now having my place cards & hearts for my table plan off her as well. Her website is www.designbymichelle.co.uk x

I love the fact that I haven't got to write the names on. She even puts the guest name on the RSVP's.

Hi, we had ours from thecardgallery.co.uk - they were really reasonably priced and we were very happy with them. And they were delivered in around 6 days from approval of the proofs. x

Just wanted to 'flash' my invites so you can see what they're like. I obviously can't show the whole of the inside with the full details on :o)

I just got some invitations from Sarah wants. My theme is lovebirds but with a bit of vintage and she had the most perfect & pretty design. I didn't want any cut and stick style stationery but something a bit unusual and they are so amazing. I can't wait to send them out! As I needed 80, they were only £1.25 for postcards style ones and they are really good quality paper that is all rustic. Sarah was so lovely too, gave me lots of helpful advice and I am going to recommend her to everyone!
