It's normal to have to wait 6 months for a dress.

Have you tried contacting the venue?

Smiley sad rubbish! I'm dreading things like this closer to my date. I've be warned that it can easily take 6 months for a dress to come through so try not to panic. If it arrives on time next month then you still have time for any adjustments and final fittings. I know you obviouslyw ant it now, but you'll get it soon enough, after all the middle of next month is only a couple of weeks away.

I would definitely be ringing the venue if there are things to sort out, or even just to double check they ahe all the details right. They might juts not be contacting you because everything is fine at the moment and they don't need any new info off you yet x

Don't panic yet, but do keep pressing the shop. I ordered mine in October (for a July wedding) and kept getting fobbed off by the designer and shop until the point that they admitted it wouldn't arrive - 8 days before the wedding! I would insist on getting a set date (22nd August, as that gives you a month for adjustments then) and press for it. Also have a back up plan... I'm very relieved I did!

In this case I would be ringing them every half hour until I spoke to someone who sorted out the problem x

I'm in a similar position to you though my wedding is two weeks after yours. Every time I call about my dress (I was originally told due mid June) the date changes. Now they are saying mid August but I have no faith in that anymore. They have told me to stop calling (I've only called 3 times!) and they will call me when it's in. I only ever call AFTER the date they originally promise! I ordered back in February and was told that's just how long they take. The thing is though, my dress is in the Maggie Sotterio priority dress class which means it can ship in as little as 8-10 weeks so there is really no excuse.

My bridesmaids dresses were meant to be in by end of May. Called two weeks ago and was told at that point it would be next week but still no sign.

    I'm trying not to panic!

Mine is Sottero & Midgeley, ordered late Jan, arrived at shop mid July. Was advised that I didn't need to have a fitting until much nearer the wedding, but because I still need to choose a veil I'm going to try it on a week on Saturday. Hoping to lose another half a stone before the wedding so don't want them to do anything to it yet anyway, but am looking forward to trying it on....

This is always the `crazy season` and no doubt many suppliers will be snowed under...

Nobody will mind you giving them a little nudge though to check everything's OK!
