Stock Brook Manor Brides??

mrsfermortobe, 2 July, 2013 at 13:00 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hey fellow Brides to be Smiley smile

Are there any stock brook manor brides out there?

We have just booked our wedding for 3rd April 2015 and wanted some advice about Stock Brook. Particularly interested about whether their photographer is any good and rough costs? Also has anyone made use of the toastmaster? Is the expense worth it?

thanks and happy wedding planning....

    Hi Mrsfermortobe,

Huge congratulations on setting a date! I haven't been to Stock Brook Manor yet but was just interested to know
whether they enforce their own/recommended suppliers on you or whether you are free to source your own?

    Good luck with your plans!

Stock Brook Manor is just gorgeous! Went there last year and it's just lovely.

As far as suppliers are concerned, have you talked to the venue about what you get included from the suppliers? For example, is the photographer there all day or just for a few hours? How many final photos are you going to receive etc. These are all questions I would perhaps ask the venue as there may be a catch involved. Try and meet with their Photographer and see how you get along, and most importantly, whether you like their work. It's also an idea to start looking at outside independent suppliers to weigh up costs etc and also for you to decide on exactly what type of style photography you're looking for, what sort of cake you want and things like that. Good luck Smiley smile

I've been to Stock Brook a few times. But I don't know anything about the suppliers. However, I would use a Toastmaster! Everyone I know that uses them says they just kept everything smooth running and calm.

    Hiya!

If you're talking about Dan Casson the photographer, he's really good, provided you like his style of pics! I've known him for years. He certainly knows his stuff.

The staff at Stockbrook are so good that you honestly don't need a toastmaster. They'll make sure everything runs as smoothly as it possibly could, they're all very professional.

    Hi,

My sister got married at Stockbrook Manor and didn't have a toastmaster and everything ran very smoothly-it was perfect so I guess it's just up to whether you want one or not (you certainly don't 'need' one in my opinion) I'm not sure which photographer she used but I'll ask.

    Thank you Smiley smile

They give you a list of recommended suppliers, but you are free to use your own.

I'm not sure who the recommended TOG is to be honest, I just had a peek on the website and it just said "coming soon". I'd like to think they'd not be recommending anyone pants though. As long as you like the work of whoever it is, that's all that's important. If you're happy with the standard of work they produce, meet with them, have a chat and see how you feel. See some full galleries, look at some other togs, meet them too and see how you feel Smiley smile

SBM is a gorgeous venue though, my partners little brother and sister had their leavers prom there yesterday evening and I was rather envious of the fact they were spending their evening there.

(Oh Bonnie, i've just seen this! Thank you for the mention my lovely ?

Hope you, the man and the little fur baby are all well!)
