Stoopidly emotional and close to tears all day

marmalade atkins, 12 December, 2008 at 19:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 31

Master A is 10 today. This has for some reason reduced me to a gibbering wreck, on the verge of tears all day. I have never been emotional on any of his other birthdays, although I sobbed when I left him to schol for the first time.

How can he be 10? He was only a baby yesterday. <weep>

To top it all, his wankface cocksucker of a "real dad" didn't even manage to send him a card. Presumably as the CSA have been hounding him for maintenance all year which he doesn't want to pay. MasterA doesn't ever mention him, but it has given me the rage.

Congratulations on being the mother of a 10 year old. I think it would affect me just the same way.?

Oh, lovely. 'Big' birthdays are emotional, I sobbed like a baby on the boychild's 1st, 10th and 14th, lord only knows what will happen when they're 18, eh? Don't be so hard on yourself

As for wankface cocksucker, he doesn't deserve to be a part of lovely Master As life. You, young lady, have done a most marvellous job in raising a loving, hilarious, kind and polite young boy. He's probably too ashamed to show his hand because he knows he's been a wankface cocksucker.

Muchos birthday wishes to your wee boy, and tell him that Auntie Hole sends lots of squishy embarrasing kisses and hair ruffles. I'll just snog you if that's ok? ?

    Happy birthday Master A!

I think 10 sounds so much older than 9 I guess its a bit of a mile stone, I think its probably pretty normal to be a bit teary. Sorry that his 'dad' is such a knob, im sure he's much better off without any contact from him.

Yes Hole, I'll tell him my internet friend wants to kiss him, he'll love that ?

Oh, and you're meant to say, "No, MA, you can't possibly have a 10 yr old, you're far too young and down wiv da kidz!" ?

I'm just running out to my team xmas night out, but oculdn't R&R (to coin a wedding plannerism). ?

Aw lovey, I can understand exactly why 10 seems like a big deal. ? The double figures are symbolic of the passage of time, and it must make you nostalgic to think that he's not a baby anymore. Youll always be his mum though, and a damn fine one at that. From what you say on here, he's growing into a fine young man, and so you can give him another ? from an old mouldy and decrepit internet weirdy lady. Now, I really must run off and get bladdered. ?

Yes Hole thank you. You too can't possibly have a 14 yr old, why you're only about 25 yourself.

Waaaaaah ? at Lou etc praising my parenting skills. Karma says the runts will have ASBOs by the time they're 7.

Aw, bless Master A. He is one cool dude. I'm still rocking the skulls but I'm assuming he's well over them?

    Yes, skulls are done.

It's all about gorillas now. Or "gorillaz" - not the popular beat combo, the cartoon animal.

    Oh, and Puma.

I loved that thread. How many times could Jester put her foot in it and how many other people would take it in the spirit MA did? You two are top girls.

Naturally I don't call them runts to their faces. No, they have twee twat names. Charley Farley BIng Bong Brown and Emma Bella Bing Bong Boo - obviously. Or "midgets".

Don't sob Jess. When MasterA was wee and learned to say "dadadadadadadada" all the time, it used to annoy me, so I'd say, "yes, your dada's a doctor. Doctor Barnardo."

Which was very grown up of me.

Chicken - you're so cool as well. I heart you.

    Happy birthday Master A.

I can understand being emotional, double figures seems like the start of puberty and all the things that follow it. ❤️ Me mentioning that probably made it worse didn't it?

    Double figures - exciting age!

? I'm sure I'll be same when R hits 10 - although if he doesn't go to sleep soon, he's on risky territory of surviving that long!

When my eldest turned 18 I sent him a special card just from me with all sorts of soppy emotional stuff in about how my firstborn would always be extra special to me and how proud I was blah blah blah I blubbed all through writing and as he read it and he didn't say a word! Boys!

The most emotional thing though is holding your daughter's hand as she gives birth to your first grandchild - and I had put on a cd of special songs that made me think of her or ones I had sung to her as she was growing up, I dont know who was making the most noise in the delivery room, her, my new grandson or me blubbing at the emotion of it all!!!

I can be very pathetic at times!

Fark me, you've made it to 10 without being a gibbering wreck? I salute you, I feel reduced to tears just thinking about MissSun getting older, I find it incredibly hard to think about.

Many happy returns to young master A.

? well it was very emotional at the time, maybe you had to be there! My daughter was more concerned I did not catch sight of her chuff although I had assured her I had no intention of looking!!!

I think it must be incredibly difficult for a mum to see her daughter go through labour, my mum was at the business end when I had MissSun and things got pretty bad at the end, when I think of what she had to see I feel very upset for her and a weany bit guilty actually.?

Good God Maxi and Oriana, cheers, I feel much better ?

My mum was with me when MasterA was born. Although after my epidural kicked in she got a bit bored and wandered off for a chat with her cousin who works in the switchboard of the hospital ?

She was quite stern when after I was booked in and the stupid midwife gave two sodding paracetamol for pain relief and I went a bit nuts and said I was going home as they obviously weren't taking me seriously. Oh and when I cried when the same midwife tortured me with a TENS machine. And when I intimidated the sexy anaesthetist by telling him to stop laughing at me when he was telling jokes to make me relax.

<understatement> I was a bit wick at giving birth.
