Strange one but has anyone thought about this?

Jlo84, 10 August, 2011 at 18:44 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hello, After lunch with my friend today she was telling me about her wedding etc. The one thing she said she is really glad of is that she bought a personalised luxury wedding dress hanger & ones for the bridesmaid dresses so the photos of the dresses were not taken with a basic plastic one. I have been looking around but they only seem to do the in America. Has anyone thought about this or is it just a step too far. Jen x

Ebay do nice padded silky ones, but i wouldn't bother with a personalised one myself!

I've got a old wood one which I plan to paint with flowers or something similar. This link might help if you choose to go down the diy route. http://offbeatbride.com/2011/08/custom-wedding-hangers Sorry I don't know how to hyperlink it in.

They do lovely velvety ones in a variety of bright colours in Lakeland. There's probably a set to match your colour scheme and they're not too expensive at £6 for 4.

There's also a fairly large range of padded, painted, even knitted hangers on Not on the High Street too Smiley smile

Ha ha. That was my thoughts exactly when she mentioned it! I have also just been told that for our wedding dress you really need one with grooves as our dresses tend to be heavy and they slip off the silk ones! Grrrrr
