Strange wedding related dreams

LisBee, 12 March, 2013 at 22:37 Posted on Planning 0 15

Hi is it normal to have strange wedding related dreams? I dont usually remember my dreams but had a few last few days. First one I dreamt my dad was still alive to walk me down the aisle (obviously been thinking about him). Second dream was that the registrar didn't turn up. Last night I dreamt that my engagement ring got ripped in half. Hope I don't have another tonight!! xx

You are not alone!! I had a mini panick attack Saturday when I realised its only 6 and a half months till my wedding and I've done hardly anything. Since then I keep having weird dreams, the first I was being shown around my venue but if I wanted to get married there I couldn't marry my OH I had to married the Owner, the second dream I was over an hour late for wedding and still not dressed and when I opened my dress bag it was an orange sari and everyone thought I was being a drama queen because I dint want to wear it......and last night I dreamt the Sally Webster from coronation street was chasing my wedding car and trying to bump us off the road???? Lol

Haha! Your dreams are weirder than mine! Love them! ? I am so pleased I am not alone. Had to resist the urge to ring the registrars office today to check everything was still ok! It is getting so close its all I can think about and it doesnt help that I am so busy and stressed at work!xx

Ooo you just made me remember mine from the other night! Part of it at least... I think it was a chain of hiccups that led to us both being horribly late and the ceremony almost didn't happen! Surprised I didn't wake up sobbing! Just remember, as mum used to say to me, it's only a dream- roll over and forget about it xx

You're not alone LisBee - I've had 2 dreams this week about my Dad walking me down the aisle - he passed away 15 months ago. Same as you, I'm obviously still thinking about him & wishing he was here.

I've had some very unusual ones.... me turning up to the church wearing my normal clothes (probably based around the fact that my dress is in for alterations now as it had been at home with me for the past 5 months!)

Had another dream where my 2 sisters started a row during the ceremony..... there's been some tension lately hence why my subconscious was coming up with that one!

I'm reckoning all the planning and stress of it is just causing them - I'm learning to just shurg them off.... all will be fine on the day! ?

I had my first wedding nightmare last night!! Nothing was ready at our reception venue and no one was helping me nor could they understand why I was upset. My OH wasn't very happy or sympathic when I woke him at 5.30am to tell him about it!!! Oh dear Smiley atonished xxx

Oh yes. I have the weird dreams too. Usually when I'm worrying about something. Though my last one was everyone turning up in our colour scheme and I got really upset! That dream was caused by my mother-in-law to be telling us the day before that she'd bought her outfit, in black and white, after we'd specifically told her not to. After the bad dream I asked my OH to ring his sisters - then we found that she had rung them up and told them the wedding theme is black and white!!! Argh...

Last night I feel like I was dreaming about the wedding all night!

First of all, all my guests were late so we had to get married with no guests watching.

Then 2 of my aunties were slagging off my dress!

And then I got so drunk that the next day I couldn't remember any of the wedding and I was really upset!

So I think I will take some advice from that dream and not get too drunk ?

I hadn't had any but last night was my first, it was the day before the wedding and we had just set up the venue when I realised we hadn't bought my ring yet. I had to be somewhere else so my OH agreed to go and pick one up from town. I was gutted that I might not get my dream ring and then I realised he doesn't know my ring size (my ER was an O but I'm a K, bless him he thought he was right!) so I had to phone him to tell him. Then I had another horrible dream about my dog being put down. Safe to say I don't feel very rested today.

    Loving the crazy dreams.

I had one that I was walking down the aisle and I was all suited and booted and OH looked amazing I got really upset and needed a min to leave a compose myself.

so I went to a side room and then suddenly I was in a local park and my best mate was there in a rugby kit?! Playing rugby with her OH and eldest child.

The weirdest thing is that they were throwing there newborn as a ball?! (I'm officially nuts) anyway that didn't cause any bells to ring during my dream

I just wanted to get off the mud. Anyway a member of staff from the hotel turns up and says that my OH wants a chat.

I go into a public toilet and suddenly I'm back at the venue and my OH was crying asking why I left him at the aisle and that everyone was gone.

I woke up very confused. Texted my best mate at 2am asking if her baby was ok. Lol

told my OH and he laughed his head off and asked me what I was on.. :/
