I am boycotting this year - I do not wish to see simpering Alesha in place of knowledgable Arlene.

I'm not sure I have the will power to boycott. I agree with you, but I love strictly so much. What has mostly annoyed me about the whole Arlene/Alesha thing is everyone has been commenting on the age thing, whereas the knowledge and experience seems so much more important, and largely gets ignored.

Apparently the professional dancers aren't too chuffed about Alesha either!

It won't be easy but I too will be boycotting. It's not the age thing that bothers me but the knowledge and experience. I think they've made a big mistake and have tried to cover up with the excuse that Darcey Bussell will be involved as a judge some weeks.

Indeed. Craig will make mincemeat of her. I give it about three weeks before she ends up in tears.

I'm not sure that I'll be watching it this year because of all the changes. Not in a boycotting way but simply because I'm not sure I'll love it as much as I used to.

I will give it a few weeks but I just don't want to watch Alesha Dixon every week. I don't particulary dislike her but she's someone that I can only take small doses of.

I'm not surprised. Only a few seasons ago they were etaching her, now she is going to be judging them? Seems a trifle unfair. If they had wanted to ditch Arlene for someone younger than why not one of the more charismatic pro dancers? Someone with at least some knowledge of what they are doing.

I'll be watching it just to see this chap in action - Ding Dong!!!!!!!!!!

I did think about not watching but I love the show so much! Plus I have tickets to the live show in January! I think it is a terrible decision to get rid of Arlene for someone who has little experience or knowledge other than as a contestant. Apparently Darcey Bussell has been signed up for judging duties later on in the series.

The American line up has been revealed and I'm excited about watching that soon and yes, Kelly is on that. Here's the article for those who watch the US show.
