Stuck at the top table planning

FutureMrsFudge, 26 June, 2013 at 10:59 Posted on Planning 0 4

We've been trying to organise the top table, well at about 50 guests(hopefully) coming, we're a bit stuck as to who sits where.

my h2b's dad is no longer with us, and his mom isn't well so would need a carer by her side/close by so we feel as though we couldn't have a traditional top table.

I will be having more guests(mainly family) attending the day time, whereas my h2b has his mom, sister and BIL, and that's it, with the majority being his friends including BM.

So can anyone help us with any ideas?

Also our daughter will be 18months then, and ideally we'd like her to be with us, but we're stuck as to whether we let her sit with the other bridesmaids/cousins and my sister.

    Two ideas spring to mind:

    1. Table with just you and your OH in the centre/top of the room

    2. Table with just the immediate bridal party - you two, best man, groomsmen, bridesmaids

    Thank you both!

I like this idea! As we both don't like to be centre of attention so being mingled with everyone else would suit us down to the ground!

Why not do a round table filled with whoever you want with you?

You don't need to stick to traditional top tables.

My sister sat on a table with all her friends and each parent or group or set of parents hosted their own table. Worked easier as her OH's parents are divorced.
