Hi Everyone
I'm sure everyone here has enough on their plate right now, but if anyone has some suggestions, they'd be massively appreciated.
My Fiancé and I are trying to figure out where to go for our honeymoon next year. We want to go at the end of July or in August. We both travel quite a bit for work, so somewhere a bit different is important. Obviously we want to avoid bad weather and although we had our sights set on one week in Sri Lanka followed by a week in the Maldives, its looking pretty risky at that time of the year. The other things that we want/dont want:
1. Must be long haul (i.e. not Europe).
2. Must have some lovely beaches but something to do in a village (or can be combined with a nearby country so we can do one more active week and one more chilled out week.
3. Must have some exclusive resorts (i.e. not many kids around -ideally adults only), and not a built up cement hotel. (again the lagoon villas in the Maldives was what we were thinking, but alas...the weather!)
4. Fortunately my lovely fiancé has save quite a bit of money for this so money isn't too much of a problem - (not over £5,000 for two weeks excl. flights)
We've looked at the Caribbean as some of the islands are suppose to be fine in those months, but it just seems like there is so many options, I have no idea where to start. Vietnam looked possible, but not sure if it has that stunning white beach type of thing. Tahiti may be a little too far, but open to ideas.
If anyone has done a half adventure/half relaxing holiday at a great hotel/hotels, please let me know...
Thank you so much!!
