Stupid effing itchy bites

Ali_G, 19 October, 2012 at 13:42 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

They're all over my body. From my head right down to my little toe (literally).

I've used TCP, Savlon, Germalene... nothing is working. And I can't help but scratch. I seriously look like I've got fleas.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

When, oh when will they go away?

ETA: They're fly bites from holibobs. I don't have fleas.

You have my sympathy, I got bitten alive on honeymoon and I was using spray stuff!

Have you got proper anti bite stuff? or I find a cold flannel on them helps (no good unless at home obviously!) or what about calamine lotion?

    Hope they go soon.

Hot water seemed to work for me when I got back from Mexico. I had a particularly itchy little bugger on the sole of my foot. Or Germoline (the pink one) as it has antiseptic and has a numbing thing in it.

I have a little clicker thing which uses piezo electric stimulation to stop the itching. I find it really good, I am allergic to mosquito bites and get really horrible itchy reactions and nothing else works. Like this:

Put some vinegar on a tissue and on them. It stops the itching cos it neutralises the acid. Only do this if they are still closed though, it wont work if you have scratched the tops off.

(edited to add, im not a random im usually found on BT, just thought i would come over to OT for a nosy)
