Stupid Names

In our local towns obituaries there was a lady called Fanny, an old lady name isn't it, but her last name was Deuce. I am not being vulgar, just saying!

Ahaha, my Geography teacher was called Mr Pratt. When I was about 14 (and all the kids were at that taunting age) we discovered his first name was Hugh!!!

One of my dads school friends was called Russell Sprout

And my sisters next door neighbours have called their daughter Ash Brown (reminds me of Hash Brown)

Two of my Paternal Grandma's friends were called Phyllis Willis and Mavis Davis both were married names though.

On this topic has anyone read the book Potty Fartwell and Knob by Russell Ash? It is all funny/rude names taken from the census over the years. Very amusing!

Worked years ago with a Michael Hunt but he preferred to be called Mike. I remember one day when the secretary took a phone call for Mike and shouted top of voice "Anyone seen Mike Hunt" - NO LIE! - office uproar

There used to be a local news reporter called Christopher Peacock who called himself live on air Chris Peacock!!! bad

Someone in my school was called Shona Dick, and then there was Guy Humpage in my old work (his email address was Guyhump@)

Her parents knew full well what they were doing too, apparently they actually decided before any kids were born that if they had a girl she would be called Hazel!

There is an Irish Politician (I think?) called D!ck Spring and he opened the factory in Cork where they make Viagra.

There was a geography lecturer at our local Sixth Form college called Richard Head, preferred to be known as Dîck.

Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day gave his son "Danger" as a middle name.

I once knew someone called Sparky. It wasn't his nickname, it was on his birth certificate.

Forgot to add, one of my Hs old clients was called "Anywhere". That was the name his mother gave him.

I seem to remember hearing about someone who worked in the White House called Randy Bumgardener. Hilarious.

My eldest sons sperm donor wanted to call him Jet. My Dad wanted to name all his kids after motorbikes, my Mum refused, thankfully.
