Stupid question alert! Downloading music.

mrsp2be2009, 19 June, 2009 at 19:43 Posted on Planning 0 3

Generally, I am fairly technically minded and up to date with modern technology, but embarassing as it is to admit in this day and age, I have never downloaded music ?

I need to do a cd for the register office of songs to be played during the ceremony. Where would I go about finding and downloading these from? Do I have to pay? I know I want a short version of Pachebel's canon, haven't quite decided on the other songs but they will probably not be classical. I assume it will be fairly easy to download them to my puter and onto a cd, or is there anything I need to know about this bit?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Be careful to check well in advance that the music downloaded plays on the equipment that the venue has. This is more specifically an issue if you burn the music to a disc.

ONLY use legal download sites where you have to pay for the track. I download a lot of music so have a subsciption to Napster.......but you can buy individual tracks and they generally cost 79p each and there is a facility on Napster that helps you burn to a disc.......its very easy and straightforward to use and they've got most things from classical to chart music.

Other good download sites are i-tunes and 7digital.
