stupid tog question

Debntez, 9 March, 2009 at 15:07 Posted on Planning 0 7

I feel really silly so please be gentle with your responses, lol

I am hiring a photographer for the whole day - getting ready through til the evening do.

I am assuming that I will be paying for them to join the wedding breakfast? Am I right?

I am sure there will be many more silly questions to follow now the day is getting closer :-)

Thanks everyone

Er, no. You don't have your tog at your sit down meal. He or she will have made their own arrangements.

I have just written a post concerning this, from a previous post. It was suggested ask the venue about a bar meal etc. The venue is now feeding the photographer for free!

Some photographers like you to provide them with a vendor meal (your caterer will be able to do something, eg sandwich or hot meal), some bring their own.

I tend to bring my own food. At the wedding I did on Friday, I was seated with the guests for the meal, which was lovely but unnecessary. It meant I got some fantastic food photos though!

We always plan on taking sandwiches and feeding ourselves, sometimes we get offered food which is normally a sandwich or simple meal in a seperate room or bar, or ocassionally we have been invited to the wedding breakfast which whilst being lovely is not expected Smiley smile

Ask your photographer what he normally does?

We always take sandwiches as well. Sometimes people offer us a bar meal or something, or even to sit down with their meal but we always decline as it is their family time. We use it to start downloading and backing up images, reviewing etc....and always stay close by. The thought is always very kind though.

I have seen that some photographers have contracts that require the couple to provide a meal, so I suppose the best answer is to check with your photographer.

    Hi!

I often work through until the evening reception and never expect a dinner! We just bring sandwiches or grab a bite to eat in the bar. Very occasionally couples have kindly included us in with their guests, but we really don't expect this and would politely decline if a couple ask in advance if they should feed us. However I do know of some photographers who inist on a meal being provided for them, even if this is just sandwiches in the bar. Just ask them if you're unsure, but i'd not worry too much about it, photographers are used to carrying a huge supply of energy nibbles anyway!
