Successful menu tasting

We are having...... ETA: he he, it saved the text format form my menu cards, I like it! Also added some descriptors (to save googling).

Veggie:

beetroot salad
pine nuts
cheshire blue beignet (dumpling/donut type thing)
wild garlic pesto
provencale vegetables
rosemary socca (sourdough flatbread)
crème fraiche
belgian chocolate pudding
fudge sauce
lemon meringue ice-cream

Meatie:

trout fillet fishcake
horseradish dill lemon
cucumber salad
lemon curd sauce
confit of lune valley lamb
mint redcurrant gravy
rumble-de-thumps (mash with spring onion and cabbage)
glazed carrots
belgian chocolate pudding
fudge sauce
lemon meringue ice-cream

    Also, please don't laugh for being so OCD but the font I'm using for my stationery doesn't have options for accents e.g. the cedilla on the "c" in provencale. I would notice this, does anyone else?

    Not sure about changing fonts in here, it's a little odd.

    I'd notice the accents, as I suspect you would, but I'd put money on most people not noticing (and if they did, not caring).

    I didn't notice about the accents until you said and I'm a stickler for detail AND have a degree in French!

    There was a fair bit left of the mains. The portions were pleasingly-sized (I was afraid they'd be tiny). No starter or puddings left though.

    Sadly, I lost my fight for creme brulee as our dessert. Boy was definitely on the side of choclate pudding and although it was lovely, it wouldn't have been my choice. Sigh, I guess he has to have some power of veto on something Smiley smile
