Suit help please

Hedgemog , 27 January, 2016 at 13:27 Posted on Planning 0 8

Has anyone bought a suit from either Tu at Sainsburys or George at Asda? For wedding attire or otherwise! Our budget is tight and I can't find anything elsewhere that we can afford. H2B thinks buying would be a better idea than hiring as it will mean he has it for future events but we're still looking at around £60 so I would like to know the quality first.

It depends on some extent as to your OHs shape as the more that you spend the better you find the fit.

For wedding work I buy the washable ones as I do a lot of this

And quality wize - they don't fall to bits and they are the very cheapest ones. As your OH is not likely to be monkeying around like I do then what he will be getting for a little more money is a nicer material and should be a better fit.

Has he tried any on to see how they fit, also try Mat alan

Jaegger outlet probably double your budget but will last. I used to buy my work suits from asda. I would say if he's standard size and it fits well can look good but won't necessarily last and still look good. I used to replace pretty regular.

Tried a couple in Sainsburys and the fit was fine but not the right colour. We have a Jaeger outlet near us so will definitely try there, any other suggestions of where to try?

My son's had Tesco and next. Might be worth trying on at all the cheaper ones then doing the same at a hire place and compare quality etc.

And watch for any sales. M&s and next outlet too.

Next suits start from £79, and they are good quality suits, my h2b has one and we've just bought our 2 ushers them( the £79 ones come in 5 different colours) we've gone for the navy ones. Also check on the next clearance on the website as they have suits on there aswell as shirt and tie sets.

I'm another one for Next, only a few weeks back we bought 5 of the £79 range ones, it's an extra £29 for a waistcoat, and you can get a shirt from pretty much anywhere. We worked out that hiring and then putting down the insurance money on the suits also worked out more PP. The suits are amazing quality and all men will deff wear them after the wedding. We went for the Navy and all of us couldn't be happier.. Not only that but the suits come in a slim fit and regular fit, as my OH is 6ft3 and slim they fit him perfectly whereas the hire suits always seemed to have the too baggy fit! Good Luck.

Burtons was no good fit wise but it sounds like we have a good few shops to try, particularly if we can find a bit more money.
