I have looked at them esp at £57 each its loads cheaper and i even got swatches of all the material for the suits i liked but i too am just unsure as dont know anyone who has chanced it and used them so will be good to see if anyone responds to this, we are going to look at suit hire on sat and to try them on so i will know what looks best but if people on here have used them and were happy i may be tempted to use them x

My biggest worry is that you don't get the suits til just before the wedding, what if they don't fit? and i know my h2b will say no we must go somewhere proper for them! but we would save soooo much money this way. i have sent for swatches, please if anyone has used them..let us know! xxx

If you are anywhere remotely near London I would highly recommend visiting our own BespokeTailor, https://www.jackbunneys.co.uk/ in Barking - a lot of Hitchers have used him and have been very happy with the service. He does hire as well as sales.

Yes i have gone over budget on everything really. and we booked it quite short notice, booked in july for next march! my h2b said course we will be able to afford it...i will do lots of overtime. however we never realized we had to pay half by sep 12th...and final balance dec 12th!! oops...bye bye xmas!

i think my h2b will only feel happy if he has tried the suit before booking it. oh well he best get plenty more overtime in!!

Don't Tesco, Asda and Matalan do perfectly good suits at very reasonable prices? Won't that be sufficient?

Whilst there are many different varieties of wedding dress, a suit is a suit is a suit, and for the majority of guys I really don't think they'd really mind that much what they wear.

The other option of course is to tell people the colour and let them buy their own - it's not essential for the bride and groom to buy the men's outfits too any more than it is for them to buy the bridesmaids dresses really, and it's certainly not important for the guys to match either unless you really want them to.

I totally agree with you, but my H2B wants a proper morning suit, and he wants his dad and my dad dressed the same and his best man and ushers! I think its cos its my 2nd time, he is 38 and his first time. I think he just wants everything like it is in magazines!! and to be honest..i could just see my dad turning up in a hand knitted bobbly jumper!!

oh well he best get grafting! xxx

Have you tried Slaters? I have checked the website and there is one in Newcastle. The service in the one in Manchester is great, and they have a good range of suits to hire. We will definitely be hiring ours from there.

I have used Smartgrooms and was very impressed with the service and the price.

I ordered in November for a wedding suit to be delivered to my London flat before Xmas for a wedding on 30th Dec and they contacted me to ensure that the suit was going to fit as there would be no option to change it due to Xmas closures.

It fitted fine (I am a standard M&S size) and even my brother-in-law was impressed with the outfit which included a waistcoat, shirt, handkerchief and cravat for far less than I would have paid in a hire shop.

It was delivered on time to my agent (I live overseas) and included a roll of tape to tape up the box and after the event it was collected on time from my London address.

I have no connection with the company. Great product - great service!
