Suit Hire Help Please

Steph/Andy, 26 July, 2010 at 12:41 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi,

What is the average price that you are all paying for your suit hire (if you dont mind me asking)? We need 10 suits and i'm worried it's going to cost a fortune, did you all pay for the suits or did you ask the guys in the wedding party to pay for their own? Thanks in advance!

We are paying £85 for each suit from Moss Bros - when you hire 5 the fifth is free so working out cheaper than than.

We have got quotes and they range from £55 - £95 per person but generally if you order more than 4 you get one (the grooms) free (so you may end up getting 2 free if you ask!)

We are paying for all of ours, just because I have a useless brother who would probably not bother, and a friend who is in and out of work, so we thought it only fair we bought all of them.

We got a brochure from Burtons and they do - hire 5 and the Groom goes free. They are very reasonably priced from £38 and have all the different styles and a huge selection of waistcoats colours/patterns. Oh, and the Groom gets a free pocket watch and cufflinks too!

We need 5 suits and have hired them from Groom. We're paying £100 per suit and it includes everything (shirt, cravat, waistcoat, jacket, trousers, shoes and cufflinks) plus insurance x

Quick tip...Kayl in particular isn't your OH in the forces? Some places do forces discount 10%

We looked at Moss Bros. Getting 8. 5 on one deal, only paying for 4, grooms goes free, then 10% off the other 3.

Random thought but thought i'd share......

I have a sneaky suspicion that Debenhams and Burtons share the same suithire company as their brochures are more or less identical.. Anyone else noticed?

So worth checking which one is cheaper - I am thinking when Debenhams cardholders get 5% off everything instore it might be worth finding out if suithire is included?
