Suit rage- UPDATE- no more rage yay!

TreacleTart, 18 May, 2015 at 16:05 Posted on Planning 0 19

Im so full of rage right now, we still don't have a suit for OH, it still hasn't arrived in store, we get married in less than two weeks and he hasn't even been able to try his suit on yet!! The worst is is I don't really think they know where the hell it is, I've just given them a very angry phone call, they've promised it'll be in this week, and that they'll even come up to us to fit it, and I've made them promise an off the peg suit in the worst case scenario (which they assure me won't be needed) but I'm f*cking livid, he doesn't want an off the peg one, he wanted one made to fit, he's a bit upset and I'm so angry that they've upset him!! Arrrgghhhh!!!!!

Oh no that's rubbish Smiley sad They should be giving you some money off or something for the stress they're causing you. Which company is it?

Argh!! I know you've been worried about this, how frustrating that they haven't pulled their fingers out for you! I hope it turns up this week, and that they bend over backwards to sort it all out!

    Ridiculous! I would be livid!

Not much help but hope you get it sorted. The last few weeks are busy and stressful enough without this happening. I'm sure they'll get their finger out now they've had a blasting!

Thanks ladies, I hope it gets sorted too, I'm still fuming, like really really seriously angry at them. It should have been a 6-8 week service (4-6 it says on their website in fact) , five months it's taken so far! I am actually really worried it won't turn up and he'll be disappointed Smiley sad he was so looking forward to it arriving after he'd chosen all the various bits and bobs for it, I can't believe they're still f*cking around not sorting it out!?!?! I'll probs get a feck load of angry stress induced spots too now-ragh!! I really genuinely don't think they know where it is cus they can't tell me what day it'll come in, just 'it was supposed to be friday', well Friday's been and gone f*ckwit, find my OH suit or feel my very angry wrath! I might be small and peaceful usually but I will wring someone's neck if this doesn't come in! They said they'll give him a shirt as a goodwill gesture, they can shove it up their arses, I want his suit not a bloody shirt!! Oh my god-look at me-I'm so angry and sweary!!

This wedding planning malarkey has been so stress free, this last two weeks we have bugger all left to do except chill, I can't believe they're f*cking it up and ruining what should be a relaxing fun build up!! It wouldn't be so bad but this has made poor OH feel really sicky and anxious and he was doing so well on the nerves front!

Bliss, it's reiss, their made to measure service. I have no problem naming and shaming now because even if they resolve it in this next week, it's still too little, and taken far to long, and we shouldn't have to have kept chasing it up, it's poor.

Have a Google and find the MD's email address. I worked for a large corporation before and director level complaints are resolved within 24 hours because the MD won't want to be made to look stupid. Stress how much this is upsetting you and you need his help to resolve it!! Hope you get it sorted x

So following on my my utter blind rage the other day (I really was an angry little bunny) things are now positive! Mrs EDis I never saw your message there sorry but ended up speaking with customer service who gave me an email to send my complaint too, and within an hour I had head office call me to sort it out. I've been speaking with a lovely man who's bent over backwards basically to help, he confirmed the suit hadn't actually been ordered in the first place, which is what caused the most of he delay (not because as we were told, it's wedding season so there's just been a backlog) he's tracked it down, the suit is now on its way via FedEx to the store for them to come to our house friday evening to fit it, if it needs any alterations they will take it back and turn it around in a day and return it to us on Saturday. The shirt OH wanted but hadn't bought (he was waiting to try it with the suit) was out of stock when we looked to buy last night but the guys sourced the last one in the country for us, it has a pen mark on the collar tho so its currently on its way to be dry cleaned ready to bring up with the suit, along with a tie and pocket square.

i know I'll feel a bit 'sorry guys' to the store when they bring the suit up cus I'm sure they'll have got a bit of a talking to about the things that have happened, but at the same time it was a nightmare, it was their fault and they didn't just hold their hands up say ok we messed up a bit there sorry, so we really didn't have any idea of faith with what was going on. Thankfully that's been rectified and OH will no longer have to just wear his pants to church!

Excellent news. Fingers crossed they come up with the goods.

If I gave that level of customer service in my job I'd probably get sacked so don't feel bad. There's nothing like the week or two before your wedding to give you the rage. Don't mess with the bride!

Haha Helen it really was a case of bride rage-they'll think he's marrying a right old bulldog lol! But yes you're both right I'm going to refuse to feel bad cus it has been shocking service, I'm just very pleased and relieved it's being sorted now tho! (Plus I get extra good fiance points for sorting it haha!)

mrsS - I am allowed to see if I want, OH doesn't mind, but I kinda wanna keep it as a surprise so unless he desperately wants my opinion I'm not going to peek!! So can't wait to see him all suited up and handsome!! :-D

Crikey - only just seen this TT - what an absolute nightmare. Do not feel guilty in anyway shape or form for simply trying to resolve this which has been totally caused by their incompetence. The shop has clearly lied to you so you have nothing to reproach yourself for at all.

I would be looking for a goodwill gesture too in terms of a partial refund due to the hassle you've had. Accepting a shirt with a mark on it is very brave. Hope the cleaners can get the mark out. Do oyu have a back-up for the shirt? I know how difficult it can be to let something go if it's not right. Check the size of the mark and don't feel you have to accept it if it's too noticeable. Are they funding the cleaning bill?

    Good luck tomorrow.

Haha, the 'not long to go on the ticker' was partly what was responsible for my utter rage!

pammy, we haven't accepted the shirt yet, we're waiting to see what happens after the dry cleaning, if it's perfect then we'll have it but if you can still see the mark then we won't. They are bringing their other two white formal shirts they stock up too so OH can decide (and if all else fails he does have a smart white shirt he can wear so he'll just pick another every day shirt to have from them) and no we definitely aren't paying the dry cleaning bill :-D the company are sorting it all out for us now Smiley smile as for payment I've suggested OH doesn't bring anything up with them on Friday and we'll see if they suggest anything but tbh with the shirt/tie/pocket square, that's like £150 worth of bits which is actually a nice goodwill gesture. I'm just happy knowing he's getting his suit so even if they don't discount the actual suit we won't mind now.
