Im at that point now too!! really want to be doing something but there doesnt seem to be anything to do, We have sorted the: Venue (including ceremony food etc) flowers, cake, my dress, BM dresses, mens outfits although not ordered or measured up yet, just finished making the invites, had one hair trial (that was only because i was going to a ball) car decs for venue/tables, band, music walking in/out (bagpipes) signing the register and first dance, witnesses, my shoes (got an idea of what i want the little bm's to wear but as they are young we cant order them yet) tiaras and other hair bits, gift for CBM (iam giving her one of my favourite rings an 18ct white gold diamond ring its gorgeous but is now too big for me) Hen weekend is sorted too just got to pay for it (by April) and photographer

Still to do; jewellery, underwear, make-up, gifts for other attendants and parents and something for my man ? there is probably a multitude of other things but i cant for the life of me think of what they are right now!! lol x

I'm getting married early Sept so not sure if I can be classed as a summer bride but

    I have organised/booked

Ceremony, Venue, gave notice, dress, photographer, florist, singer, dj, magician, I have just booked chair covers today. I have had my invitation proofs and have sent them back to be amended.

I am hoping to order BM dresses on tues, just have to get my second BM measured and hand over some more money. Then I will have successfully completed my must do before christmas list. I am then going to have a break and start again in the new year but I do feel pretty organsied. x

Im getting married in early September too and have done almost nothing. We've got the church, venue, tog, and cars booked . . . and thats it!

I don't think anthing else weddingy will be happening until after christmas either, OH goes back to work tomorrow after having a weeks hol. We were supposed to sort a few more things out while he's been off but i've been ill all week so haven't been able to.

I feel like I should be panicking a bit more now, especially after seeing how much progress everyone else has made.

Mrsclarke - i'm your date twin! 17 july 2010! though everyone seems to have done a lot more than me! (jem - your list is making me very stressed lol)

    i've done:

    venue
    florist
    booked registrar
    honeymoon
    ordered my dress

    in progress:

meeting two photogs later this week
trying to sort out a good quote with my chosen caterer
    researching invitation designs and wording
have chosen my cake design but trying to get a good quote, meeting someone this week

    to do:

everything else! especially worried now about getting a decent videographer, and booking a DJ for the evening and violinist for ceremony...

ugh it's so soon - exactly 8 months now!

Church booked, venue booked, centrepeices chosen, band booked, photographer booked, honeymoon booked, dress ordered, bought shoes, hair and makeup pretty much sorted

Need to - finish invites, evening invites, order of service, book cars, book florist, buy centrepeices, BM dresses, mens suits

Have I left much out!? I do have a super duper wedding checklist - but its on my home laptop so cant check off against that!

I'm 4th Sept so I suppose I'm not really a summer bride but I'm going to crash anyway ?

I've got church and venue booked, photographer, DJ, dress, STD's have gone out, I have made about 15 out of 100 invites (but at least I have finally decided on the design!!), I'm halfway through covering my second shoe with diamantes (sp?), I have a hairdresser and I have my lovely huge cocktal vases. Erm.... don't think I've done much else. Can you please remind me if I've missed something really important off this list!!!

Left to do: I have the rest of my invites to do, suits, BM dresses (being made by a freind's mum) but most importantly.... I have to find X amount of thousands of pounds from somewhere but I just can't stop spending!! I've spent over £150 on clothes this month, I just can't stop myself ?

As soon as I got paid last month I put £700 in my savings account thinking that was fair contribution and if I do that every month we'll have no problem... I now have only £350 left in there as I've spent the other half ? I suppose it's better than nothing though. And in the meantime there's always the hope that I can win the lottery

Think thats covered everythng, please shout if I missed anything out.

    Oh dear!!

Everyone is so organised here. I'm pretty new and my wedding isn't until 4 September.

All my girlfriends are teasing me cos they think I'm ahead of the game but you lot put me to shame!!! I've only got a venue, dress, and half my wedding parties outfits.

Working on stationery now as I'm making it but it's very time consuming.

Also can't seem to get myself to commit and book anything.. scared I'll see something I like more later on and regret my choices!

I'm from Birmingham so it's out local-ish church and then a place called the Lakeside Centre (don't have nay pics at the mo, and it's no where near as lush as everyone else's on the venue flash thread).

I really struggled finding a nice venue for the reception, they were all too far away. And my biggest issue was CARPETS. I think I was obsessed with them. they had to match my colour scheme, we would walk into a venue and if the carpet was to patterny (sp?) or clashed with my colours it was a no no straight away. Everyone else thought I was loopy. Our venue has a lovely blue carpet so I'm happy.

How long have you been engaged for? I'm sure you'll catch up soon

    Hi ladies

We're 25th July and to be honest I haven't really found planning stressful or anything at all yet! Not sure whether to be happy or concerned about that, maybe all the stress will come next year?

    Things we have done are:

    Booked venue

    Booked photographer

    Booked videographer

    Booked florist

Had invitations made (by family friend - not bothering with Save the Dates)

    Ordered my dress

    Booked our honeymoon

    Gave notice

And we need to do pretty much everything else! I'm letting Tom suit the mens suits out, will just give him a few colour options for ties etc once we've sorted the bridesmaid dresses. When I'm going to do that is another matter though, that's the main thing I'm seeing as going to be a bit of a chore to be honest, my ideal bridesmaid outfit shopping would be: pick a dress out, they all like it, they have all their sizes and don't need any alterations - sorted ? But then I suppose everyone else feels exactly the same as that!

2010 brides that are stressing - chill out, you will be fine! You have loads of time (unless you're in January obviously ?)

Don't worry, you're not loopy.. I had a massive bugbear about them too. I ditched at least three lovely venues becuase of their terrible patterned carpets.

Can't understand why they do that!!
