Summer 2013 Brides....

Congrats! You are organised! I am looking at end of May and currently venue hunting. Hope to finalise soon.

I'm 22 June 2013, so still 14 months off, but I feel like I have next to nothing left to do!

Venue - Hever Castle

Photographer - The Other Day Photography

DJ - Booked through Bee Jay Entertainments

Accommodation - rented out the cottage on the Hever grounds for the week before the wedding for out of town guests and getting ready on the morning of the wedding, and we get our bridal suite free the night of the wedding.

Dress - have the BHS Antoinette dress (bought on sale, yes!) hanging in my closet, have purchased 1.5m of gorgeous corded lace, and made arrangements with a dressmaker to tart up the BHS dress with a lace overlay on bodice, cap sleeves, a few layer of tulle over top of the skirt, and a satin sash (I've removed the beaded sash already).. but none of this will be done until December/January, when I take the dress in to be properly fitted by her as well.

Veil - made it myself

Jewelry - made myself a bracelet so far

Bouquet - have made a couple dozen fabric flowers, will be assembling it soon

I think I'm well on my way, and probably ahead somewhat, as we're not doing a lot of wedding things, like cake/cars/venue dressing/florist/etc.. so I don't have too much left to sort, just BM/flower girl dresses (to be arranged and chosen by them), suits/ties (to be arranged and chosen by OH), rings, and the rest of our DIY stuff!

I'm August and have booked venue and looking at dresses. Researched a lot so i know what I want for rest and going to book the rest this August in a big block.

Hya, Im a July 2013 bride and so far have church, venue, photographer, cars booked and my DRESS so all the main things sorted. Sorting the BM's dresses at the moment so very pleased.

Actually looking up shoes online (in between work), even though I dont have a dress, just so I can order some quick so I look a bit more organised like you lot haha!

...And done! Think I could have the whole wedding done by dinner :-)

Because it will be summer, and I hate wearing proper shoes in summer, and these are super cheap, a little sparkly, and I'd wear them all the time before and after the wedding

I'm the same date at Venart 22nd June 2013. All we have done so far is to book the venue and church, photobooth and I paid the deposit on my dress on Saturday.

I am trying to tie OH down to a date to look at photographers and cars.

I have asked 2 out of the 3 BM, waiting for OH to ask Best Man before I ask my 3rd BM. Haven't asked ushers yet in case first choice best man says no then one of the ushers will be asked to be best man.

Feel like I have got a load of things yet to do but I am also trying to write a masters dissertation at the same time but wedding planning is much more fun than having to write 20,000 words!!

PS Venart I love the Toms idea I also think they are the most comfortable pair of shoes ever (on par with Uggs) however I am 5'4 and OH is 6'3 so I need some height!!!

I'm in August and have booked the church and the venue, I have found my dress, BM dresses, photographer and cars but i'm not allowed to book them yet!!!! ? Xxx

I do not envy you having to do your thesis when you want to be wedding planning! I was doing mine this time last year, and if OH had proposed then I might not have finished my thesis on time!

Hi, another 22nd of june here!! we havent booked anything for certain yet, provisionally booked the church but then found a lovely country house that can do the ceremony and reception so not 100% on anything yet. i have had a consultaion with a dress maker and she is going to make all the dresses, mine, 4 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls, as soon as our deposits r in she will order the material and get started!

also ive just made my first favour, never been very crafty but its a felt cushion heart, quite proud of myself lol

I'm hoping to be an August 2013 (16th if I get my way). However, not yet 'officially' engaged and therefore haven't booked anything or made a decision about anything! So you are all doing much better than me.

I was meant to be creating a shortlist of venues so it would be easier to pick when the time came but that list is slowly getting longer and longer!

Well I guess September is kind of Summer so:

Photographer meeting tomorrow night to put deposit down

Florist meeting next week to put deposit down

I think that's enough for now

I'm August 24th. So far I've booked the church and the reception. Started looking online at other things but nothing booked yet.

Hello I'm 25th August 2013. Have booked venue and registrar so far. Seen a dress I love but shopping around still. Looked at loads of stuff but not bought anything else yet. Am enjoying looking at stuff, just need to decide on the details properly. Figure that I still have plenty of time ?
