Sunday!

Houdini, 31 January, 2010 at 11:06 Posted on Planning 0 11

So, what are everyone's plans for today?

It's one of my nieces 7th birthday tomorrow so we're off to a tea party at my sisters to celebrate. Last night she had a party at an indoor play area and I think I came off worse. They have a big bouncy castle type thing but with a big pyramid in the middle called Jelly Mountain. Needless to say, I fell down a few times and have friction burns the size of a £2 coin on both elbows which smart! I thought it was only my left elbow last night but OH discovered one one my right elbow this morning!

So that's today. Not looking forward to work tomorrow as I have nothing to do but train someone who I think can already do the work but is severely lacking in confidence and who will ask 10 questions on something she can already do. I'd rather that than her not ask any questions but it gets quite wearing!

WP wise, I just need to sort out my centre pieces. I have goldfish bowls and mirror tiles but I'm not quite sure what to put in the bowls and keep ordering bits and pieces to try out! One evening this week I will try all my options so far and get your opinions / suggestions!

So, over to you!

Well i've acheived quite a lot this week on the wedding planning front but have really let my uni work slide so will try to have a catch up today. OH is off work today so we're also trying to have a family day (this really means laze around and do silly things like build a tent from a duvet with our 2 year old son).

I bet you loved the indoor play area, I know I do when I take my little boy. Enjoy your tea party?

You know what Cosmo? I felt like a big kid! As well as about 20 children, there was my older brother and sisters, and their respective other halves plus a couple of cousins and my dad all playing too and starting ball fights with the ball pit balls! I was the youngest of the adults at 25 and we were all recapturing our youth, it was brilliant!

Loving the sound of your lazy day Kate. I'm Hitching in bed so planning on a lazy morning myself before getting up and dressed. Enjoy your days!

I'm finishing off one of the best weekends I've had for a while, with even more good stuff!

Went out for the first time in nearly 3 years (despite being only 21) on Friday and had an amazing night, then had OH come and meet me to walk me home which was lovely, yesterday lazed around- had no hangover- then went to the cinema to take H2B to see Avatar which was great! This morning getting ready to go out for lunch with H2B family (who are all lovely) but dreading the outfit decisions, as I never like how I look, and managed to get into my old size 12 jeans for the first time in over 1 and a half years, did a celebratory dance, and chose the first outfit I tried on and feel good!

Now just waiting for the taxi to pick us up, then off to my parents after lunch to celebrate the jeans with my mum, and just found out i'm being picked up at 0900 instead of 0600 for work tomorrow!

Sorry to ramble, I'm just very excitable today! I hope everyone else has a lovely day whatever they do! Next weekend I'm back to wedding planning.....

I'm taking OH and the BM for their suit fittings in a bit. Then I might cook a roast and have an early night!

Have spent the morning printing out 'pretend' invites to check the quality of our printer and that they would look decent. The layout and all looks good but the printer keeps smudging the ink - GRRR!!!! So maybe some more work needed on that!!

And then I got disturbed by OH who was cleaning the bathroom and broke our shower screen..... doh! Spose I cant moan at him as I NEVER clean the bathroom!!!

Still, got tomorrow off work so going shopping to buy myself something lovely..!

My OH and I have just cleaned the house from top to bottom. OH has put the xmas decs back in the loft.... and I have been sorting out my 'wedding corner' which is getting bigger and bigger by the week (just added my favour bags to it on Friday). Now relaxing with a cup of tea and looking at all my hard work!!

I will be carrying my note book with me all week to jot down any questions I think of. We are going to see the Reverend and the hotel manager next weekend.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday Ladies!!

Well I have spent the morning tidying and cleaning ready for H2B to get home - he has been away since Friday on a stag do in Manchester so was planning a sausage and egg lunch for when he got home as a treat as he will be feeling crappy!

However, he has just text to say "I don't know how this happened but we got on the M6 the wrong way". They were only on their way north!!! Have just turned around at Kendal so not expecting him home now for at least another 4 hours!!!

And they say women have no sense of direction!!!!! Pah!!!!!

On the plus side, more hitching for me! Ordered some more invitation samples last night in the right colours so will be planning the layout this afternoon and printing templates ready for testing. And I finished draft 2 of my map!

Well me and OH had a lovely day in town (had only one really minor wobble but beat it), and he treated me to a hot chocolate and a muffin (fallen off the wagon this week as have been emotionally all over the place so back on it tomorrow!). we got some paper to print off the inserts for our invites and got some card to make up the table plans, OH treated himself to some new clothes and now we're at his parents having just finished sorting out draft 2 of the guest list and now watching the simpsons ?
