Missus S, 12 October, 2012 at 19:50 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

H is cooking Sunday dinner for my rents this weekend and im on dessert duty. Only stipulations are I'm veggie and pregnant so no raw egg or gelatine. What would you want after your Sunday lunch?

For super easy, some sort of fruit crumble - you can prepare in advance and bung in the oven as soon as everything else comes out/you sit down to eat. I usually do this then give options of cream, ice cream or custard.

In the winter it has to be something like a crumble or jam sponge with custard. Yum.

It doesn't matter how ill I am or how bad a day I've had, sponge pudding always cheers me up! Its always my mums though, I've never made it incase it was rubbish. It would ruin it forever!! H eats it with ice cream ? and my brother eats the jam sponge but never syrup.

In this weather I'd always want a hot pudding and custard.

    What are you going for?

After a big roast dinner, maybe something like Eton Mess? Nice and light but still delish.

Or, my all time fave of sticky toffee and date pudding....or bread and butter pudding made with marmalade and brioche, absolutely lovely
