Sunday lunch near Sudbury, Suffolk

The Fox at Bulmer is lovely - although you can't book and it gets very busy. They open at midday and there is already a queue forming! It's big though so if you don't want it that early, you could try and get second sitting if you are prepared to wait a bit. It's like a gastro pub - nice food and very reasonably priced, but it's not a PUB pub, if you know what I mean.

There's the Crown at Bildeston which I think has a good reputation.

The Angel at Stoke-by-Nayland was always good, but it's a few years since I've been.

Anywhere in Melford is good for Mums - the Bull does a nice sunday lunch, as do the Crown and the Hare and the *** & Bell. Or the *** at Lavenham - but the portions are massive!
