I know we go away the Friday and come back the Sunday. I also specified that it shouldn't be abroad to help with peoples finances. I also know who is going. But other than that I know nothing!!

Exciting and scary at the same time! (I am a complete control freak!!) lol.

That's so exciting! Can't wait to hear all about it. I'm spending this weekend with my bridesmaids so I'll be impressed if they don't let anything slip haha!

24 days till my surprise hen. I shall make sure I come back with a full hen report for you all Smiley smile

I made my gift bags for the girls at the weekend. Was so much fun. Just waiting for delivery of the personalised hen bracelets and then they are all sorted. I put rhubarb and custard sweets into my sweetie cones (£4 for a very large tub from iceland) and stuck my personalised stickers on. If I do say so myself they look very professional! (not sure why the pic is sideways tho!!)

They look really good! I am sure they will love them!

I had my first idea of the hen this weekend!! One of my BM dropped of a bag of goodies, which had various treats in as well as my 'invite'. The bag had 'Bride' on it and there was also a tshirt inside with it on, that I have to wear Smiley smile

So, firstly the invite was written in an Alice in Wonderland Style (my fave) and gave me ideas of time and that I need a swimsuit and towel. I'm thinking a spa day which I will love!

Then in the bad was bucks fizz, sausage and bread for my breakfast, all with tags on like in the book 'Eat me', 'Drink me' etc. LOVE IT! There was also a champagne glass and mug with my initial on and 'hen do 2016'.

Then it goes on to say I'll be dropped off at home for a quick nap (i love a nap!) and to get glammed up ready for some drinking, food, dancing and games in the evening! I have no idea where or what but it has got me even more excited now eeeeek!

Mine is a complete surprise; all I know is that we're leaving Friday and returning on the Monday. That. Is. It.

For a control freak like me who has the whole wedding planned on a spreadsheet, it should be hell, but I'm actually looking forward to the surprise and I know wherever we are going I will have a good time. It sounds like they've put so much effort into it (plenty of secret meetings they think I know nothing about!)

The only thing I'm worrying about is what to pack... But apparently all will be revealed in due course...

Vixy, how did it all go? What did you get up to? We need a mini report when you get a chance ?

My 'bridesmaids weekend' went really well, my OH's sister got on really well with my friends, which is fab. I also received an 'invite' to my hen do in 2 weeks with a check list of what to pack and a little P.S at the bottom which makes me think we're flying somewhere (basically make sure I pack to hand luggage restrictions) so exciting!! I was 99% sure we weren't flying anywhere for various reasons. The checklist doesn't give anything away about where we're going though, it includes things like an umbrella, sun glasses and fluffy socks haha! They'd made the invite to look like our Save the dates, which is so sweet, they're obviously putting in lots of effort. They've also been having secret phone conversations with my OH, it's so exciting!

So, I survived and it was lovely! I had so much fun!

I didn't know anything until it was happening, which everyone commented on how good I had been at no asking questions - they all know I love to have every detail!

Saturday started with some sausage sandwiches and bucks fizz in my specially made glass (it had my initial and 'hen do' written on it. I was then picked up at 10.10am and taken to our local spa where there were 8 of my friends waiting. We were having a morning just relaxing in the pool/jacuzzi/steam room which was wonderful! My BMs know I don't get much chance to relax so this was lovely, plus I got to catch up with some girls that I don't see anywhere near enough!

After that, I was told to get dressed and we were going onto part 2 - which turned out to be afternoon tea at the hotel. I LOVE afternoon tea so this again was very me and everything was delicious. They had even ordered some fizz for me Smiley smile

After that we went our separate ways to chill/nap and glam up for the night. Again, I had no idea what I was doing! My BMs sister picked us up and took us to a local restaurant where even more people were waiting for me. This is the part that my Mom and Sister as well as the OH Sister and Mom came too, so that was lovely. The table was decorated in Alice in Wonderland bits (which has been a theme throughout) and was just lovely to have everyone together and have a giggle. Made the wedding seem super real!!

After we had eaten, I was told that my transport was here. I walked outside to find a party bus!! I was so excited! If you haven't been on one before, it is basically a minibus that has been made up with flashing disco lights, music, TV screens and champagne! I had never seen one before and it was amazing! It took to Cheltenham which I had never been out in before but was a very good choice, we had cocktails and more fizz then danced so much. I was aching for two days after...

We also had great fun playing a game where we had to tick off tasks! When wearing a 'bride to be' sash you can get away with approaching anyone and asking their name (I needed to find someone with the same name as my OH - it took a while).

I got home about 4am, so was very tired on Sunday but loved every minute! I now have round 2 in a couple of weeks which I have no idea about either, although I do know that this is being organised by another BM and it's not including family...

Are you back yet Poppy, how was it?? Smiley smile

I need to have a bit of a moan about mine so sorry for being negative, mine is in 12 days time, I still don't know what I'm doing and I'm super excited... BUT my little sister had an operation yesterday (on her birthday) and is now likely to be in a wheelchair for the hen Smiley sad I'm hoping that she'll still be able to join in with whatever has been planned but I think that asking about wheelchair hire has said it all really! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she makes a speedy recovery and that we can all still have a wonderful time together!

My surprise Hen Do was the weekend just gone!

I was given a letter on the Monday with a list of things to pack, and told that I would be picked up at 5pm on Friday. Everyone turned up at mine Friday evening with goodie bags, cupcakes and wearing personalised tshirts. The cupcakes spelled out that we were going to Magaluf!

Then we set off to the airport (turns out my fiance had supplied them with my passport). They'd booked a fab party hotel/apartments, planned loads of activities and I'm now very ill from all the excitement haha.

Surprise hen parties are the best!!

Oh no Emmy1102 I am sorry to hear that, I hope she makes a speedy recovery and can join in at least part of it. Does she know what's happening? Could you ask her to put your mind at rest?

I had my second hen do this weekend and it was so much fun! I feel so spoilt, my BMs did an amazing job. We went to Lyme Regis (I love the seaside) and then just drank lots, played games and chilled. Was not too heavy on the partying which I was glad off but we had so many giggles it was just perfect.

They both sound great, I'm loving how different they all are!

My sister was one of the ones who has organised it, I've been assured that she'll be fine and that we'll just go at her pace, which makes me think that it's not going to be too heavy anyway! But I'm just panicking as usual!

My bridesmaids are throwing me a surprise hen do as well, all I know is it's Friday to Sunday at the end of the month and I know who's going- that's it! I'm usually a control freak but with so much to do for the wedding it's amazing having something I don't need to plan. It hasn't been without its stresses though like when 2 people pulled out last minute when money was due and I was worried everyone else would have to pay more but one girl is back in it now and apparently there was a buffer so they've been able to deal with the other drop out without any financial difficulty.

Hi everyone!! I got back on Monday, had such a fab time.

I ended up going to Dublin ? I've never been before and was very chuffed when I found out at the airport. The majority of us flew from the same airport, but there were a couple from various areas around the country, luckily we all arrived in Dublin around the same time. Friday night we all just stayed in the house with a takeaway and a few bottles of wine while everyone got to know eachother.

Saturday we went to the Guiness factory, which was fun. There are so many little bars and restaurants that we were there for hours and they whipped us up a few Guiness based cocktails. Then we headed to a couple of pubs for a couple more drinks ?

Saturday night I was in my white dress and all the girls in black. They'd prepared some games which were fun (fortunately I seem to know OH well enough for Mr and Mrs games haha!). Then we headed out and danced the night away.

Sunday, once everyone had recovered we had afternoon tea at a hotel then headed back to the house for more chatting and then out for a meal. We flew back Monday morning. It was amazing, just the right level of drinking (I'm not a mad drinker) and plenty of time to chat and have girlie time. Plus everyone got on well which was great as it can be tough bringing together nine girls I think!

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys theirs as much as I did mine. I'm loving hearing all about them. I've still got my work one to go in a couple of months, plus my bridesmaids have now decided they're best buddies and we all need to go for a spa day, which I won't say no to! Haha!

My hen do was amazing. On Friday we made our way down to Prestatyn in north wales to a beautiful thatched cottage. We had a lovely buffet that evening and played table football and pool in the games room in the cottage. On Saturday we went to Chester. We went on a vintage open top bus for a tour of the city. Followed by cocktails in the slug and lettuce and then afternoon tea in a querky place called Mad Hatters (Alice in wonderland theme) after that we made our way back to the cottage and had down time for a few hours before the evening where a lovely French chef came in to come us a lovely meal and I was presented with a naked butler!!! We played games into the evening. It was a great weekend Smiley smile

I've just got back after the most amazing few days!

FSIL came over on Sunday because we live near to the airport and our flight was at 6 in the morning! Her and H2B sorted through my packing, adding things they thought I might need as they didn't want me to have any clue where I was headed!

We got a taxi to the airport at 4am where we met FMIL, had breakfast and boarded a plane to PARIS!! FMIL knew the steward on our flight so we started our trip with complimentary champagne and snacks! When we landed we met my mother and sister, who made me cover my eyes and when I uncovered them they were all wearing Minnie Mouse ears and had bridal ones ready for me, we were going to Disneyland!!

The rest is as you would expect; rollercoasters, parades and fireworks! On Tuesday evening the girls surprised me with a fancy sit-down meal with the Disney princesses, who were all very excited to hear about how I was going to marry my prince charming!

It was all so fantastic that I didn't want it to end, but back to work I go!

One hen do down, two to go!
