Hi I am technically a surrey bride as that is where I live but can't help I'm afraid as I am getting married in wandsworth !! But I do know that oaks farm, in shirley I think is a gorgeous place to get married but unfortunately it was way out of our budget !! If you have a good size budget it is definitely worth a look, they have a website but can't remmeber what it is. If you google oaks farm in surrey I'm sure it would come up anyway.

    Hi Jen

We are on quite a small budget so had to go somewhere in our price range but we are getting married at the Central London Golf Centre which is on Burntwood lane.

    Hello, ?

I'm a Surrey bride! Getting married in Surbiton. Depends how much you want to spend and far you want to travel, have you looked at the Downs? There is Warren House is Kingston. Also Oaks Farm is beautiful, but that's Croydon way.

    Hello?

The budget isn't very big and we would like to be close to home because all the friends are in the area. It is going to be a small wedding, about 50 people.

Where in Surbiton are you getting married?

Pembroke Lodge is a beautiful place to get married, right in the middle of Richmond Park.

Has anyone looked at getting married in Parkstead House?

Raven's Ait for me, Glenmore House for a friend. Have you looked at the golf clubs? We went to see Chessington one when it was laid out in the marquee (quite small) for a wedding and it looked really lovely but didn't choose it cos we wanted the whole day at one venue.

Haven't heard of Parkstead House, where is that? Sam is right about Oaks Farm - gorgeous but pricey!

Have you looked at any of the hotels?

    Woodlands Park in Cobham
    Oatlands Park in Weybridge
    The Mitre at Hampton Court
    The Liongate at Hampton Court

    I'm a Surrey bride!

I am getting married at Woldingham School (www.woldingham.surrey.sch.uk) It may sound odd as it is a Catholic school but it is licensed for civil ceremonies and has amazing grounds and a lovely old building in which which you have access to 4 rooms.

As it is a school, you don't pay quite as much as you would at places such as Oaks Farm which is lovely but expensive!

Depending on what you require in the way of services, we might be able to offer a few ideas !
There are quite a few hidden gems locally - we're in Walton, but knowing what you hope to get might help to point you in the right direction...
Did you want a hotel, or are you looking for something less pricey ?

The budget is not big probably about £5,000. I am looking for a venue where we can have an afternoon wedding maybe a bbq if possible. A nice garden because if the weather is good we want to be outdoors as much as possible but you need a solution in case it rains.

We want something very casual and relaxing more of a Summer party than a wedding. I would like everyone to be able to relax have a few drinks some good food and catch up with old friends.

I am not even sure if I am going to wear a wedding dress..

Take a peek at Bury Court Barn in Bentley near Farnham. IT is beautiful. I have worked with many brides here from large wedding parties to small and formal to very informal. It is a lovely venue with great grounds and bbq's are always popular here in the Summer

One of our customers very soon is holding their wedding in Claremont Gardens, Esher.
That might suit your brief quite nicely.
Alternatively, Clandon House is very nice and has great grounds.
Ravens Ait isn't too far, in Surbiton and is very nice.

Ok, have now read that post properly and I'm guessing the Georgian?

Also Ramster in chiddingfold is beautiful. Its a converted barn with 2 big open fireplaces and set in beautiful gardens with a courtyard. I don't have a link but you can google it. They also have a fab disco they use ( I'm biased- it's my dad!)
