Come on Mad, get a grip LOL!

You know you need to get yourself along to your class again. The longer you leave it the harder it will be. No one will look at you or condemn you - we all slip from time to time. What's important is to get back on track again. You've come this far: you owe it to yourself to go to class, get weighed, and get back on the loser's trail!

Thanks GinFizz. Today I prepared both your recipes. Both are really tasty. I could not resist before any tasty recipes 'cause I love taste. I hope your recipes will help me in controlling my belly fat.

    Hi all,

Well my first week on SW is over and have to say I have quite enjoyed it. Have cooked lots of stuff which I never do, some wasnt that nice but hey ho you live and learn. Managed to loose 6.5lb in my first wi but I know that most of it will probably be water and not to expect anything like that next week but its giving me motivation to carry on!

I am really struggling with what to put on jacket pots on green days - can anyone help? I hate beans and cottage cheese/quark so anything else you can suggest?

    Cheers Sam x

Thanks claire and GMT, I am kicked and have a grip.

I went to class, I've put on 4lbs in about 4 weeks, so not a huge gain. Have had a nice healthy tea. Out for lunch with a friend tomorrow, but will endevor to make a good choice and not have a pudding. Feel better for going and getting weighed, I didn't stay for class, but didn;t fancy trying to explain why I've not been doing well. Bring on the next week.

    Another 1 1/2 off this week so that's 20lbs in 9 weeks.

I wish I had taken pictures at my start now. I guess we all know that when we are at our biggest, we don't want the camera anywhere near us though ? I'm sure I can try and find a few fat ones (well, fatter) friends have posted on facebook though.

I'm on course for 2.5 stone by 21st January when I go on my Caribbean cruise. I can't wait!

Good luck this week everyone and an extra special GL for those struggling at the moment?

Mad - well done on getting back on track. You will soon lose the four pounds and some!

Sam - for spud accompaniments I like .... cottage cheese. Salad. Chopped ham or bacon (from health extra B ) or cheese (from HE A). Or quorn sossies, or quorn chilli / mince. Or quorn burgers.

I'm chuffed coz went to WI last night thinking I might have lost half a pound if I was lucky - I'd shifted 2 lbs and won my two stone award!

Mad - 4lbs in 4 weeks is nothing really now is it especially if you have been totally off the plan. Well done for going to class when you knew you would have gained. I shall also give you a virtual kick up the bum but at the same time I know how easy it is to fall back into old habits so dont be too hard on yourself as its a long journey this weight loss lark!

Well done on the losses this week girls. I managed 0.5lbs which is still a loss but I was expecting more. Hopefully I shall have a good loss this week as I would love to get below 14stone for xmas which is a big deal for me. Fingers crossed.

Half off is better than half on, Gemgems. I hope you have a really good week and can get below that 14 stone. I would like to get below 12 stone - only 2 pounds to go!!!!!!!! - before Christmas.

    Good luck, all!

Well done everyone, especially MAD for going back!!

I am stunned and chuffed to say that I lost 1lb this week. I really did think it was going on! I was a friends on Friday evening for takeaway and wine, reasonably good on Saturday although did have cherry shortcake from the bakers, and then on Sunday we had dinner at my mums which was sooo lovely and she a fabulous cook but not very healthy. I decided if I was blowing it I'd just not worry! Was really good the rest of the time and cut right back on my syns.

    Morning,

Well I have had a truly rubbish weekend. All my good intentions went out of the window on Saturday and I ended up eating loads in the pub and drinking quite a bit of alcohol.

Yesterday started off really well until I went to my sisters and she had buffet food out and I picked. I knew I should have had tea before I went.

I am drawing a line under it though and fingers crossed its not such a bad gain on Wed.

    Good luck everyone else. Sam

Sam - that's what flexible syns are for LOL! As you say, draw a line under it and move on!

I had a very nice curry last night and half a bottle of Chilean red wine and thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm not feeling guilty about it either!

    Can I join in?

I've decided to try and get rid of some honeymoon weight and have been back on SW for 3.5 weeks. I've lost 2lbs but my weight loss is always painfully slow, hence why I gave up the diet last time! I lost a stone over Dec/Jan/Feb and have kept it off but have another stone to go.

Doughnut - I am not going to win any prizes for speed slimming either! But losing steady and slow is probably better and you're more likely to keep the weight off, too. You've already proved that having lost a stone and kept it off.

I maintained this week for no good reason I could see. Except that I weighed in a day earlier because of having to swap my classes around coz of work. Still, better to stay the same than have a gain, I suppose!

I didnt get weighed on Tuesday as we are all poorly at the moment but I think I would have either STS or gained 1/2.

I have to admit I am really struggling at the moment. When I did SW prior to being pregnant with Z I was doing really well and felt the weight came off steady and easily - this time around I am finding its coming off really slow and I am getting peed off about it all. Its also up and down. The only difference I can see reading back through my food diaries from then to now is that I am not eating quorn (I get a really bad reaction to it so cant have it at all). Surely the quorn cant be the only thing? NOTHING else has changed, still drink plenty, exercise a little and eat plenty of fruit & veg and free foods.

I might have a look at trying something else (maybe the eat less move more thing) for a little while and see how it goes - I guess I can always go back to SW.

    Gah am fed up!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

4lbs off this week, which is nothing short of a miracle for me! Nothing like a bit of emotional turmoil to ruin my appetite!

    9st6 now, target is 9st I think.

Well done Doughnut! that's a fab 1st weeks loss.

Well done all you other losers.

I put on 2lbs last week and lost 1 this week. I feel that with another course of steroids running through my body, my weightloss plan is going to pot. I feel down and spotty and i haven't had spots since I was 13. Oh well, when i finally get rid of this extra weight, hopefully my chronic asthma will improve greatly.

Sh!t, I sound like a bundle of laughs tonight LOL

    good luck everyone.

I shifted another pound this week. I seem to lose the weight soooooooooo slowly but at least it is coming off!

It wasn't my first week, it's been 6 weeks ? How much have you left to lose TT? I remember when you did LL and your fab pics. This is so much healthier though and doesn't *** your body up! Hope you feel better soon.

I've realised nine and a half stone is the heaviest I'm happy at, which doesn't sound like very much but I'm fairly stringily built and come from a beany family and don't carry weight well. I'm keeping going despite all the Christmas parties, just being as careful as I can at them and not drinking where possible. Hoping to get to 9st by my 32nd birthday (early Jan).

How is everyone else getting on?

    Hi everyone!

Is it me or is it really hard sticking to plan at the moment?? Have had an awful weekend. I thought I had my comfort eating well and truly beaten but apparently not! We have a very poorly dog at the moment, probably terminally so, and I've done really badly with my eating. It felt really unimportant.

Soooo, spent yesterday cooking and am back on track today. Fingers x'd my dog is ok, we'll find out on Friday.

I lost 1/2lb last week, which means I've lost my first stone ?!!

Sorry to hear about your dog. Fingers crossed for Friday. Well done on a stone!

I'm sticking to it 100% but no loss this week. Got 4 nights out this week but going to stay on track and hoping for a pound off next week. Cooked a big curry tonight so I can eat something quick between getting in from work and going out.

LOL I thought you had just started. I did do really well on LL but put a heck of a lot back on due to steroids and yummy food. I have another 2 stone to lose and hope to lose atleast another 10lbs by my 32nd birthday in January. We go on a fab Caribbean cruise on January 21st and I can't wait.

    Good luck xxxx

I'm keeping myself going by telling myself I only have to stick to it til the end of the year, as it always feels like a long, boring slog. I know this is hardly the attitude ? Holiday sounds fab.

It doesn't seem long ago we were turning 30, does it? ?

    Hang on in there, Doughnut!!!!!

I am missing weigh in this week as I normally go on Tues but was in London for work, and tonight, when I could go to my alternative class, I shall be feeding my face at our departmental Christmas meal. Then on Friday I'm out with my team for lunch - I hope to be reasonably good but still have fun!

Right, I've just joined up online. I'm getting Christmas out the way before getting stuck in though, I'm going to start on 27th Dec. I've done it before so can do it again (I keep saying this but haven't had much luck so far....)

    Help!! I've lost all motivation............

I went to wi on Wednesday and stayed the same. That was fluke/ luck rather than hardwork as we'd had two nights out and a christening with a buffet.

All my good intentions and willpower seem to have vanished, although have done well so far today.

I will keep going to my wi's, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, and see what happens. I want a couple of "off" days over the holidays (Christmas and Boxing Days) as we have visitors and are going visiting. I'm hoping that being sensible and getting back into the gym (going tonight) will keep weight gain in check or minimise it at least!!

    Claire xx
