Just checking how you're all getting on. I lost 2lbs this week which i;m really pleased with. Finding it hard to completely stick to, but I must be making the right choices most of the time to have lost 2lbs. Roll on this week.

2 1/2 lbs this week, so 7 1/2 over the 5 weeks now. Am enjoying it so far...full and feeling very pleased with what I can eat!

You sound like you're doing great!

I'm struggling, Ive put on for the last two weeks and don't really know why. Ive been doing SW since last jan an I've lost just under 6 stone. But since the new year Ive been getting really low losses or been putting on. To be honest it's really getting me down as I have another 2.5 stone to go to target.

Josie - sounds like your body might need a bit of a kick-start after losing so well fo so long. Have you talked to your consultant about it? She should be able to help you devise some new stregies - maybe changing the plan(s) you follow, doing some different exercise etc.

Mad - you're going well girl, keep it up! Ditto othe poster (sorry, can't see your name).

I've lost more than 2 stone since last June but it is a long, slow haul. Missed weigh in this week because of work so not sure how I'm doing ....

Well done girls on your losses - keep at it .........

Josie def worth changing things abit maybe try doing a few diff days red/green or try mixtomax or sucess express I find this helps. Also try to fit in as many ss as poss, it may just be that you're abit stuck in a rut eating the same stuff all the time.

I lost 3 stone in 14months and reached target in July 2007. However I have been out of target since before Christmas and now at my highest in a long time 7lb over target. For one reason or another havnt been able to stay to group for a month or so but am staying again as of this week and will prob be changing to a new closer group soon too, I hope this will help kickstart me again.

I've been very good so far this week, drinking lots of water (always helps) and only gone over my syns by a few last nite - I blame the wine for being here !

Fingers crossed for a loss on Tuesday

    DD xx

I know exactly how you feel. I put a pound on last night so thats 3.5lbs in 3 weeks. Ive done a food diary for the pst two weeks and my consultant cannot see anything wrong.

I did win 'Greatest Loser' though!

Perhaps we've just reached a temporary plateau, Josie. I'm sure we can shift some weight next week! Meanwhile, well done on winning Greatest Loser. How much have you lost so far? I''m 2st 6lbs lighter, so I can't be doing it all wrong!

No wine sun-thurs, Melon for breakfast and giving up crisps for Lent !

If you have been doing it a while you may just have got stuck in a rut, why not try success express, mix to max or extra easy just trying something different can help. Also change about your B choices and put in lots of SS. Or get out the latest magazine and try a few new recipes- you need to enjoy it rather than thinking its a chore.

I have been stuck in a rut for months and since Christmas have put on quite alot so this week I just said enough is enough and gave myself a kick up the backside.

Will be back to check up on you next week and hopefully another loss for me too..........

    DD xx

PS drink loads of water (easy to forget in this cold weather !)

Hey DD, yes long time no speak!!

going it alone at the moment... And its working, I seem to spend so much time out of the house as it is, I'm missing little things.. But this extra easy is fab... I'm having my HEb for breakfast, eiher a boiled egg and 2 slices of wholemeal toast / porridge with a banana. Lots of fruit through out the day. Huge salad for dinner with pasta/rice and ham/chicken, witha big fruit salad. Then a normal family meal for tea, but made from scratch slimming world style!!

I'm drinking over a litre a day of water - cant remember who said it, but think it was on here, that the more you drink the more you shrink!!!

Ditto. I've gone back to writing everything down, which is what I was doing when I had such huge success before the wedding. It's important to write things down when you eat them rather than later on, as it's easy to forget things you've had if you don't write them down straight away. Also, check the syn values on everything, even things you think you know the value of. Sometimes your memory plays tricks on you when you've been doing it for a while and, when you think you know the plan, you tell yourself you can guess what syn value something new will have when actually you're inevitably wrong!

    Hello SW ladies,

I'm a new starter at SW. Would it be ok to join you on the WL forum. I am usually on BT.

My first week went well doing ee. 3.5lb. I have decided to stay on it this week.

Not too sure about the green and original yet.

I wish you all well this week.

    ?

Welcome ........ 3.5lb is a great start. Dont worry about the red&green it may take a week or two but you'll soon get your head around it once you have a go.

I am trying a new group this week and its not until thurs, went a little off plan over the weekend but not too bad that I cant limit the damage and hopefully not completely embarrass myself by not lossing at this new group !

Good luck at weigh in girls..........

    Hi Ribena,

how did you find the extra easy? I joined last week and am doing this, weigh in tomorrow night, eek!!

I did sw a few years ago and did the red/green and im finding this much easier, basically its healthy eating and cooking from scratch which is good!

    Hi Sunny Day,

I spent the first week thinking that I was missing something on ee. It seems too good to be true. Like you say, healthy eating and normal cooking. My biggest change has been to swap my snacks for healthy free ones.

Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.

Welcome, Ribena, seems like you've made a good start.

And Mel, another few pounds off - I'll have whatever it is you're on, please, as my swim thru treacle continues! Half a pound off this week in spite of following the plan and have plenty of dog-walking exercise each day. It's annoying when people around me tell me how they have had a bad week, eating lots of syned food and wine etc, and they still lose loads! Oh well, perhaps I'll make up for it next week. (If I look at the big picture, I comfort myself with the fact I have lost two and a half stone so far!!!)

Having a great day - I know you should weigh yourself mid week but I'm surrounded by scales at work, and I've lost another kg! Woohoo, 11 pounds in total, nearly at my first stone. Also was chatting with some friends we saw at the weekend and they were saying I looked great and they'd really noticed I'd lost weight. Nothing like that for motivation!
