SW help for a soon to be member

*Clairejk, 1 September, 2010 at 11:34 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 3

Hi all, I had my last baby 3.5 weeks ago and have 4 stone to lose.

I've decided to do slimming world as I'm breastfeeding and don't want to 'run out' of food I can eat if I'm hungry.

I last did it in 1997 so know a little bit about it but not the changes. I haven't had a chance to join a class yet but will soon.

I want to start today but a) don't know what to eat and b) need to go shopping!

I usually have Alpen for breakfast, a sandwich for dinner and something homemade for tea (chilli, stew, lasagne etc)

Any help (especially with the Alpen!) would be massively appreciated.

Thanks Claire xx

    ?Hiya

I'll PM you the password to the website - you can get some recipes and any new info off there - also checkout www.slimmingworldclub.co.uk Fab free forum! I guess for today if you try to stick to freshly prepared food you'd be along the right lines until you can get a shop in. Do you know about Extra Easy? Its basically red and green mixed but with less Healthy Extras. Although for exculsively breastfeeding I'm sure you're entitled to 7 anyway.

Extra Daily Allowances for breast-feeding mums
Baby’s age You can enjoy additional Healthy Extras on top of your usual 2a and 2b choices.
We recommend that one or preferably two of these additional choices are made from the milk and cheese section.
    Up to 2 months 3
    2 to 3 months 4
4 to 6 months if starting to wean 3
4 to 6 months if breast milk is the only source of nutrient for your baby 4
Over 6 months when weaning 1

Holler if you want anything - will be around later (lunch break at the moment!)

Just thought of another question, on the EE plan are you only allowed 1a and 1b? so would I then just add the BFing extras to that?

    Thanks x
