Sweetie buffet - one for OMs?

The current Miss L the future Mrs H, 2 January, 2012 at 20:40 Posted on Planning 0 2

I need a bit of help with my sweetie buffet, I'm going for jars that look like this:

Sorry for the MASSIVE pic! There are different sizes, 0.5litre, 1.0 litre etc. I know this will vary depending on the type of sweets you put in but does anyone know what weight of sweets I'd need to fill, say, a 0.5 litre jar? I'm thinking of having cola bottles, jelly babies, M&Ms, dolly mix, but any info you ladies have would be very useful.

Thanks

I started buyin jars for mine today. i got a heart shaped vase and 2 sundae dishes from morrisons. i think a different variety of glasses will be nice. your best bet is to buy the sweets and fill as you go along

It took around 10 bags to fill each of my jars up and 3-4 bags of lollypop mix in each bowl -

i had strawberry laces/haribo mix/flying saucers/ tin of celebration and a mix of lollypops-mini love hearts -refreshers etc - i bought most of the morrisons /tescos own brand where you get 3 bags for a £1

I had this style Jar - got them in Ikea.

From memory the medium jars took about 4 bags of Haribo to fill, smallest ones just under 2 bags. x
