Sweetie Jar favours

Gillh89, 26 July, 2013 at 21:16 Posted on Planning 0 8

I would really like either little jars of retro childhood sweets as my wedding favours or sweetie cones, but I am struggling to find anyone that does these, and I'm sure when I looked before I found loads. Does anyone know of anywhere that I can get these please?

I am in North Yorkshire so someone that is either based in this area or that could deliver to this area would be perfect Smiley smile

Thank you

Hi Gill, welcome to Hitched ? I've not come across anyone that provides them in North Yorkshire so can't help there, but have you thought about doing them yourself? I imagine that they'd be fairly simple to make if you have the time and inclination.

Could you not do sweetie jars yourselves?

You can get the jars from places like the range or hobbycraft and also on ebay. Then you could just fill them yourself!

Google Retro sweet jars and you will find a few.

There are some on ebay/etsy, or notonthehighstreet:

I have done my own little jars, they are spice jars from pound land- 2 for a £1.00 and filled them with jelly beans.

This isn't the best picture, but this is them:

I'd say do your own - I definitely reckon it would be cheaper.

We're thinking of using these jars from Ikea for ours:

Thank you for all your ideas. I hadn't even thought of making my own as I'm making the wedding cake, but actually I could make them in advance so this is the best option! Thank you for your help

Now that I have this figured out, these are mine, I will decorate them with blue ribbon and tags
