Hello

How are we all doing this week? I've had a great week, but probably could have done better at the weekend ?.

I get weighed tonight, so we shall see. It's that time of the month at the mo, so I'm hoping that doesn't affect things because I would love to lose just 1.5lbs as that would bring me back to what I was before I went on holiday.

What are we having for lunch today? I thinking a ham omlette probably

Lots of luck to everyone

    Hi Fifi

I struggle with that too, it certainly is hard to do this diet on a tight budget, especially red days!

Maybe try Aldi or Lidl instead of the more well known supermarkets, as they often have good offers on fruit and veg

    Hiyah

I was terrible last week and managed to stay the same so Im being "saintly" this week so it doesn't catch up with me.

I think Im doing a green a day today so am going to have cous cous, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot and cottage cheese for lunch. Tea will be wedges, beans and poached egg.

Im trying to eat 10 speed foods a day as Ive found that makes a difference to my weight loss. I need to fit in some exercise but when I have no idea. Was planning on walking my 3 year old to nursery this afternoon. Its about 1.5miles (3 mile round trip). It would be a slow walk there but then I could speed walk back but the skies have just opened so that is that idea knocked on the head!

    How do you exercise?

That's good mrsng, you sound very motivated - lots of luck!

I can't do a lot of exercise due to back problems, but I try and walk loads. I have a little girl, so I'm hoping pushing the buggy helps too!

Well I lost 1lb, I'm pleased with that seeing as it's my star week.

    How has everyone else done?

    Evening.

Well done on your 1lb loss this week ?

I have had a terrible week. I dont know if its due to TOTM or the fact that I knew I was going to class tomorrow so made the most of being naughty or what but what a terrible week!!!

I agree its hard to follow this whilst on a tight budget and I hadnt thought of Lidl's (I dont have an Aldi near me). Might have a wander over there this week.

I have just had a go on our Wii Fit too (had it for 4 months but first time I have actually used it due to my c-section) and boy am I unfit lol. Had to do some jogging so bum, belly and boobs wobbled everywhere (very attractive NOT) and was sweating and out of breath very quickly!! Am going to try and get on there every night now and see if it makes a difference. I am trying to walk a lot more too and with a double buggy (all together must weigh over 3 stone) that should help as well.

Hope everyone is doing well and good luck for all the weigh ins.

Thanks, I think we all have weeks like that gemgems, it's so hard to be motivated all the time, esp round TOTM. Good luck for tomorrow, hope it isn't too bad.

I'm pleased you enjoyed the wii fit, I've just managed to order one from Amazon (posted on other thread too) Let me know how you get on with it

Oh Jefna I recommend the Hula Hoop, the skiing, ski-jump and the beginning bit of the yoga. The jogging was funny but everything on me wobbled!

Hiya all,, I managed to loose 4lbs this week which I'm amazed with. We were away for the weekend and I just treid to eat really carefully. will probably put it all back on this week though.

It was our anniversary yesterday so we went out to la tascas for a meal (I didn't syn it as I thought I could have a night off, which is probably really naughty) but I;m going to try to be good the rest of the week.

Yay, 5lbs this week! so one stone in three weeks, how amazing is that? I think it has really motivated me to lose more and really stick to it, and I'm already looking forward to christmas parties when with any luck I'll be able to dig out all my old size 12 dresses again. ?

I'm going with the 'be really good all the time, but when I go out don't worry about syns' train of thought. I went for a chinese for our wedding anniversary on saturday but I tried to cut back on the amount of carbs I ate, and drank water but other than that I just ate whatever I wanted.

I'm fully prepared to have to cut back more as I get to a lower weight. I hardly eat any syns, usually less than 5 a day. I have found that mini Twister ice lollies (the multipack ones) are only 2.5 syns. Which is fab as I can syn and stay under 5.

Congrats to everyone else on their weightloss, especially Mad, 4lb is fab.

So my goal this week is 1 and a half lbs at least, so I can say I weigh 13 and a bit stones!

Yay well done ladies I bet your both very pleased with yourselves. Keep up the good work.

I have been on the WiiFit for an hour and 18mins this morning woo hoo. I usually do it of a night but I have loads of ironing to do tonight (boo). Am really enjoying it as I almost feel as though I am not actually exercising but having fun lol. Am hopefully going to have a walk this afternoon with the little ones too.

What is everyone doing food wise today? I am having a red day:-

    B - 2 weetabix (b), milk(a) and a banana
L - 5 slices of ham, lettuce, carrots, cucumber, 3 babybel light (a) strawberries and a muller light
D - chicken casserole with a jacket potatoe (b), cauliflower, broccoli and carrots, also a casserole mix thing 3 syns.
Snacks will be an apple and nectarines.

Also forgot to say that there is a new "Ice cream" on the market. Its called Not Guilty and its by a company called Freeze. It looks just like a strawberry split but it is frozen yoghurt rather than ice cream. A forest fruit one is only 1.5syns so a bargain really as I usually have skinny cow lollies so now have a variety of things to eat instead lol. I have so far only found it in the big Tesco stores.

    Have a good day/week everyone.

Breakfast - porridge with Tesco Cherries (frozen, but thawed out!!!)

Lunch - Quorn Chilli with Rice, sprinkled with grated cheese, Mullerlight and grapes

Tea - Green Beans served hot, with Extra Light Salad Cream and VLF Cottage Cheese (sounds weird but lovely!)

Syns: Salad Cream & Kit Kat

Hi Mad - well done on your weight loss, that's fantastic, and Batfink! Wow, I never have losses like that, 2lbs is a good loss for me.

I'm doing ok now, but haven't had the best starts to the week as my oven broke and we only had our new one put in on Wednesday, so I've struggled diet wise without it. But I've been on my wii fit everynight, and I'm loving it! I'm aching all over mind ? but at least I know it's doing some good. My target for August is a 1lb a week, which I've managed to do so far, so I'd be more than happy with that on Monday.

How are you getting on? and everyone else?

Just had a lovely lunch of omelette with mushrooms, smoked ham, chilli flakes and cheese (a) followed by melon

Stuffed up yesterday, though. Thought we were going to spend about an hour at this guy's workshop, but were there for six. Ended up getting a wholemeal tuna and salad bagette from the garage as it was the best they had to offer (I stayed away from the pasties!) but didn't have any other syns for the rest of the day

Chicken stir fry for me tonight - with lots of added mushrooms and spring onions

    Evening all.

    How is everyone getting on?

Smint - at least you stayed away from the really bad things lol. Sometimes these things happen and you HAVE to use your syns so well done you.

I am going okay. By Tuesday AM weigh in I have used 73 syns which is 3 over but then its because I was looking at Friday's menu plan and had weetabix for brekkie but I wasnt supposed to have them today so had to count 7 syns for them doh! Nevermind its not the end of the world and have been using my syns on cooking sauces and the not guilty lollies (and birthday cake) so not done too badly.

Have also been on my wii fit each day and went for an hours brisk walk earlier so am hoping that will all help the weight loss too.

Hope everyone is finding the weekends okay to cope with as I know sometimes the weekends are my biggest downfall.

I think i;ve really stuffed up this week, it was our anniversary last week and we went to la taska so I don;t think I did too good there (though I really enjoyed my cheesecake), and then last night we were at a wedding. I didn;t go up to the buffet as I knew it's all be unhealthy, so what does hubby do, but go and bring a plate of stuff back for me..grrr. and even worse I ate it. bugger. ah well. I;m expecting to put on this week, but at least the rest of the time I've been good. I think I;ve probably pu on about 3lbs.

I had a good week but then a bad day yesterday - I never seem to be able to complete a whole week without a blip! Craving sweet foods. Any ideas for very low syn/syn free sweet snacks?

Into pasta with pesto at the moment - pesto is syns but you only need a small amount.

    Hi Mad and Jacksmum,

Can I join the club? I was doing so well but blew it Sat night and yesterday. I just wish I had the willpower to last a whole week, but I can't ? I really think I'll have put on about 1.5lbs tonight - oops! We'll see anyway.

Mad - don't worry to much about your meal out, you only have an anniversary once a year, so you have to enjoy it.

Jacksmum - I've heard that when you have sweet cravings, you should eat something pickled like pickled onions, and that is supposed to get rid of the sweet craving, but I've never tried it yet so don't know how true that is!

Lots of luck to you for your wi's

    Evening ladies.

Sorry you didnt have a loss Jefna but at least you didnt gain either.

I second the thing about pickled onions. I was told by my consultant last year when I was having TOTM cravings to go and eat pickled onions as it takes away the craving! Not sure how or why but it does work.

My weekend wasnt too bad, have been sticking to the Not Guilty lollies, strawberries and muller lights for my snacks which makes a change. Have had some cravings and been on the verge of binging but have held it together (so far).

Weigh in for me tomorrow morning so hope to have a loss.

Good luck everyone else who is to weigh in this week.

(Sorry if I have missed anyone typing one handed trying to feed little one).

Well done for sticking with the diet, and not giving in to your cravings, finger's crossed you have a good loss tomorrow
