Table arrangements

Julie48, 28 August, 2016 at 07:38 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi everyone

We met with our florist this week and it went really well. As soon as the florist heard where we were getting married she knew exactly the look we wanted.

She has quoted £110 for my hand tied bouquet - does that sound about right?

The only thing we couldn't decide on was the table arrangements - we are having afternoon tea in the venue's courtyard after the ceremony (we are not having an evening reception) and the tables are circular wooden patio style tables. The florist suggested three or five jam jars clustered together with flowers matching my bouquet on each table (5 tables) which would cost approx £80. I'm just not 100% sure and wondered if any of you have any other ideas for informal arrangements?

Thanks

Jx

What flowers are you having in your bouquet? My bouquet is £90 but that includes expensive flowers, including peonies, roses, hydrangeas etc.

Try looking on Pintrest for flower inspiration. You can find loads of great stuff on there x

I think my bouquet is about £80 and I'm having peonies, roses and gypsophila. I think it definitely depends what flowers you have.

One idea my florist had was to just have gypsophila on its own. You can make an arrangement of it look quite 'full' as there are lots of little flowers, plus it fits in nicely with lots of different wedding styles depending on what type of jar/vase you go for xx

I only paid £75 for my hand held, but I got married in May, using gerbera's, Alstroemeria, dhalia's and lily's, most if not all are all in season, and if you want the price down do get flowers that are in season as cheaper.

How informal were you thinking, and are you set on having flowers? We used board games, got the travel versions bought 8 or 9 from toys'r'us and spent just under £50 and surprisingly 3 came back fully intact. If you are set on flowers, ikea for example do quite good fake flowers so you can spread the cost as they don't have a shelf life and do look through google images for ideas.
